Well for myself. I don't like losing seasons, but that's just Me. You,and I both know a Qb is not fixing the Oline, Dline, Inside backers, and safety play. So why Bring another Qb into this?? So bring a rookie in 2 fail, and lose his confidence.
Bring in a Vet Qb that won't take us 2 a SB. Why not just build the team give a cheap deal 2 Ben like He took this year, and draft a Qb after most of the team is rebuilt.

Look at what one bad season did for Belichick. Now that ******* is back in it already with a rookie no less. It can be done. Well this is Tomlin so I'm sure it won't. But you get the idea. All this back and forth and Ben will probably retire anyway lol.

LoL. All You had 2 say was Belichick. I don't know anyone that really watches football that didn't see this coming. Matter of fact ....You can go 2 some of our off season post ,and see where I tried 2 get people 2 put money on it when I said NE would be back this Year, and people said they were done without Brady.

For the love of god the Vikings said to themselves roethlisberger can’t beat us. Load up the box to stop the run and we own the Steelers. What happened? The Vikings owned the Steelers. You don’t see that done to a qb that’s playing well.

By the way maybe 1 of the sacks was 2 seconds like you claim. Even then Ben has been playing for 17 years. He knows the protection. he knows which man is coming free. It’s his job to get rid of the ball.

Well back then quarterbacks carried a clipboard until they learned how to play the game. Now we throw them in the fire.

Cliff Stoudt was eligiable for the NFL pension plan before he threw a pass.

Aside from that, I heard him speak once. He was excellent, had good stories and a great sense of humor.

He talked about being a rookie at camp. He went to a local bar where fans and players went. Only one seat left at the far corner of the bar. It was next to Jack Lambert. He looked for another seat but Lambert pointed to the empty seat. There is more to the story, but Lambert was good to him.

no it is not his fault. I like to see him play now but more so in his prime. I just don’t want him to get hit hard and mess him up for retirement.

Not disagreeing, but don’t you wait until the wound is healed before ripping off the bandage?

How do we heal the wound?

I would be ok with this approach. Bring Ben back if he’s willing to play and take no more than $15M (such an insane amount of money compared to my bi-weekly crumbs) and continue to build the team until most of the pieces are in place. After watching Thursday night, it’s really a lot to ask of Ben.

Mason I guess would serve the same purpose, and probably cheaper. Plus we’d probably earn better draft positioning with Mason, which would help with the rebuild. But that’s only if we hit in the 1st round, which isn’t guaranteed with this crew, as we’ve all witnessed.

How can you say our front office hasn't any faith in MR when he's been on the sidelines for years ready to BU BB? I look at things like this as you either believe in what our front office is doing, or, believe in what gets posted on this board or by some media hack. Now, who would you recommend people believe in? As a side note, the Front Office are the ones that continuously evaluate our players every time they put on their cleats vs all others who rely on their personal opinions and the social media sewer. Is the same front office evaluating Devin Bush and giving him a helmet week in and week out? If so, the fan base has a right to be critical of the work of the front office.

    Ben is done.

He’s 3rd or 4th on the “to blame” list. Not a significant cause of the issues.

Half the people here that ***** about Ben will be singing his praises in the 2nd year of rebuilding.

QB is just one of many gaps that need filling.

Did I mention Ben is done?

What part was I not explaining correctly?? Asking because I do that sometimes.
I'm saying if sorry a$$ T. Taylor keeps getting chances 2 start for a team(I believe 3 teams in 4 years). You can bet if Ben leaves some team will try for His services. All it takes is 2 just look at the guys playing right now. All those Qb positions are not being replaced in one draft. Also look how many Teams have Qbs on rookie contracts that aren't even sure of the Qbs they got.

Steelers suck at everything at every position and at every level of the coaching staff. Time for a 1969 reboot.

My first year of High School. If you didn't have the 45 single of "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archie's then you just weren't groovy.

I don't think he wants to come back to the Steelers. I think he honestly believes he is on the same level as Brady and would be able to turn another team into a Super Bowl contender. He balls out in the 4th Quarter against a prevent defense and is not starting to sell out the coaching staff. As much as many are calling for Tomlin to go, Ben is not a leader and is not pointing fingers for others behavior as opposed to being a leader. Claypool's actions are not his problem, but yet he would call out AB, Washington and others for their play.
