Once again the beating that this man has taken over the years
will probably end up shortening his career. Its a shame the Steelers have
done such a poor job with their OL.

Right?? The injury is not new- its from last season and, as was mentioned, lots of QBs have some form of tear (understandably so).

Why is it always him though? Why is it necessary to feed the monster that is ESPN? From what I heard he has a common "injury" among QB's and pitchers. I put injury in quotes because it's more of a condition that doesn't go away... There's probably 20 other starting QB's that have it not talking about it.

I have to wonder if this time Ben has intentionally said something to grab headlines and put the Mike Wallace issue on the back burner.

You don't think that Ben is the only one who talks about injuries do you? And as TTF pointed out and as the video shows, he was asked about it. Why do you care what ESPN thinks anyway? I saw one fan on here calling him a drama queen over this, really? No, it's that fan who is the drama queen. Everyone needs to stop being so hyper sensitive about everything that comes out of Bens mouth.

I kind of agree with you about this.....Just because you are asked about it doesnt mean you have to give 100% of the details. Just say you're fine and move on.

    EXACTLY, FearTheBeard.

I don't care what ESPN "thinks" Tomlin_Era... but I enjoy watching it and don't want to hear about some non-injury for the next 2 weeks.

I don't care what anyone says, ben IS a drama queen. Is he tough, clutch, awesome, etc. YES... but he loves to tell you about everything he's playing through. There's worse things he could be than a drama queen, so I'll live with it, but he is one.

No, he's not. If Ben starts spewing this stuff without even being asked about it then yeah, you'd have a case but because he answered a question? Do you guys want to hear anything true out of Bens mouth or just want him to lie and evade every question? Seriously, it's ridiculous what this guy gets bashed for, never seen anything like it from hometown fans.

There is a difference between answering a question and giving relevant information and having a big deal made out of an injury from last season that probably 90% of QBs have- you dont hear them talking about it do you? And, really, can we stop with the "Ben Bashing" nonsense? I love Ben and think he is a phenomonal player- I also think he is a drama queen. Doesn't make me any less of a fan than you are.

So does Ben. Name one other QB in the league that can take their team to the SB as beat up as Ben was. Sure they lost but they were still there.

I'll stop with the Ben bashing "nonesense" when you and others stop with the drama queen nonesense. I hear other players talk about injuries all the time, minor or otherwise, not sure what the heck you are talking about there. I also heard Ben downplay this injury in his response, so again, I guess people just dont want him to talk at all, he can't win.

ESPN is just upset that they had to go away from their nonstop Jets coverage to talk about another team! They feel if they go away for any other reason, Tebow might take his shirt off again and they would miss it.

I think you are giving Ben way too much credit for his ability to think logically.

Looking at the past 5 years..Ben has gotten beat up pretty bad behind a consistently terrible line. As many injuries hes sustained its no wonder that's all the media ask him about. Who cares what he talks about. The guy wins and that's what this game is about, not what type of person you are or personality.

Maybe, just maybe, it's a psychological ploy so other teams will think he's injured and relax a bit, a la, Brady being on the injured list every week during the season.
