You are correct, but he is 27 years old. Been a journeyman 3rd stringer/PS guy for years. Very possible it was just a flukey game with a big performance. Happens all the time (unfortunately not to any of our QB's over the past 2 years). I doubt Browning is the next big sensation. Great game for him, and all the congrats in the world to him... but it wont be shocking to see him dud next week just as hard.

 

Agree. Guys like this can get on a roll and then reality smacks them in the face. If you watched the game the numbers are a little deceiving. Not saying he didn't have a great game, but a majority of the completions he had were thrown less than 4 yards through the air with yards coming after the catch. He had a couple nice long ones to Chase that shot the numbers way up.

 

The run after the catch stuff is at least a testament to the accuracy and timing. Those 2 things are necessary for YAC, and a BIG part of the reason why we have struggled with YAC over the past 2 seasons.

Great game, good for him. He isn't going to be tossing 300+ and a bunch of TD's for the rest of the year.

 

Good point. The one that stood out to me was actually a little dump on a naked boot where he turned around with a free rusher in his face and still made the throw, because he anticipated the pressure properly. If that's Kenny, the best case is he grounds it at the receiver's feet and more likely than not he's sacked.
