Not much, and as all know I'm a super Ben supporter, but what's done is done .....it's over.....
Although... I will be interested in seeing the Ben haters make up excuses when some of the things may not change......Even though We've spent most of the Draft, FA,and a extra Qb coach 2 fix it.

Didn't we go through this with Hines Ward and Troy Polamalu?

    Much ado about nothing.

I was watching the new Yinzburg video on Ben's perfect game vs the Rams and I dont know how anyone can view what Ben used to be able to do vs what we saw the previous 2 seasons and think he was still able to compete or do so at an acceptable level.

I’m not sure they even wanted him back for last season, wasn’t it rumoured that Tomlin and Colbert were ready to move on after the2020 collapse and it was Rooney that agreed to bring him back once he took a pay cut?

Ben can have no complaints, he is one of the top earners in the game ever and it was painfully obvious last season that his time was up. There was no need for his recent comment, albeit I didn’t hear it and perhaps it was said jokingly so won’t be too hard on him.

Because of his passive aggressive nature I take what Ben says as a joke most of the time but also as a joke with a core of truth to it as well.

I agree with last season, but I think people are way 2 hard about the season b4.
12-3 record, and 33td, and 10 ints are nothing 2 sniff at.
Only 6 Qbs had more Tds that year, and 3 of those had more ints.
4 of the 6 had worse records.
So collapse or what have You He was still top 10 , or Higher in 2020. How could You honestly say he wasn't????

I think the same could be said for the 2021 season. To me it sounded like both Tomlin and Colbert were ready to move one from Ben at the end of the 2020 season. The picture of Ben and Pouncey after the Cleveland beatdown, should have been the last time Ben took the field for the Steelers.

I think it was Art who got him back in the door last year; and thank God he wasn't able to do it again this year.

With that said, the bulk of those TDs happened on the front end of the season and the INTs happened on the back end. His play really fell off during the Baltimore game, and wasn't the same since.

With that said....Doesn't it all count???

Ben's latter half really set the tone for the 21 season. Trends do matter. And other QBs are judged by trends.

Not a big fan of Ben but we would have done better by not bringing Tomlin and Colbert back.

Eh, Ben has never been good at thinking before he speaks, and it was a minor comment at best

He was hired to toss a football, at times he did that very well

He wasn’t hired to be an orator

    No real story here

Yet they have been trying. One commentator said Ben always was on the shotgun because he did not like to turn his back to the D on a play action lmao..duh!

as always statistics do not tell the story. We had a decent season going until the Titans put out the blueprint to beating us. Ben wasn’t able to make the throws to stop teams from stacking the box.

100% this. Tale of two seasons and the poor play at the end is what we got in 2021.

    Click bait stuff.
As the article concludes, Ben can play right now if he felt he wanted to, someone would give him a contract.

As someone whose been around Ben, he can be a world class a$$hole without a doubt.
He can also be 180 degree the opposite.
What I think the context actually meant was that everyone, kind of closed their eyes when he was about to get hit.
No one wanted to see him go into retirement as a result of injury.
2021 was painful to watch, if you're a fan of Ben's.

RE: Troy, I'm not really sure what to say there.
    Could he play? Probably.
Could he be effective? tough call.
Some players just don't know when to call it a career.
And the NFL these days, teams can't afford to hold on players for sentimental reasons.

It was time to go. Plain and simple. It must be incredibly tough for a superior player when the time comes. But we all know it was time. Let it go, Ben, and thanks.

Some of us didn't want the head coach and many assistants back. It's all water under the bridge. Time to move on.
