I just posted a pic of a jacked up Switz in that thread. I'm pretty sure Ben wasn't out tending the land with him this time around hahahahaha. Seriously though Ben looks like college sized Ben and that's one of those things that could be f'n nice! He ain't ever been "Ben Mc muscles" just a fair sized boy that seems to be getting trimmed up at the long over due but needed time.

Hopefully he is on an endurance workout regimen instead of a power one. Stringy but strong type of guy now.

Don't matter either way if the elbow don't hold up but he seems to be trying to sharpen the edges.

The elbow is the unknown. We'll see if he can still launch it with any kind of accuracy. Hell, even if Ben was at 50% it would still be twice as good as the platoon of goobers the steelers paraded out there at QB last season.

But if the elbow holds up it will be nice to see that he can survive the other stuff too!:drinks:

Agreed. Seems football is on the back burner with some individuals.

I can dig what your serving stone. I'm not overly worried about the other stuff. This dude has taken a licking over the years for sure but he's been very (even at times detrimentally/boneheaded in doing so) tough and reliable the majority of the time. I think a slimmer version of the pocket Houdini would help more so even in lieu of Father Time. There is not any quit in the dude in my opinion and so long as his ball scratcher holds up in an elevated rocket throwing motion I think he's gonna get on one this season. Hope the line is up to the task as well hahahaha

Indeed it is for many various reasons... Sorry, don't know if that was directed at me but my beer told me it was hahahahaha

I don’t think I’ve ever heard it put that way, but yeah... that’s my thought as well.

It's the players that should work on their game but too busy making grievances & social statements.

Ben has had his moments but he has the hardware to talk the talk. Let's see the wannabes walk the walk. I think Pouncey & Ben are the only players left that have been to the top.

Agreed! My hope is that since he took the time to slim down, I'm going to assume that he also did everything he could to prep that elbow.

I'm still trying to figure out how to scratch with my elbow.

I just hope it doesn't end up like a few years ago when Ben came to camp with "renewed arm strength" and proceeded to throw bullets which were picked off or tipped by linebackers.

I guess we had better enjoy Ben's last hurrah. His cap number is over $40 million in 2021 if we keep him.

Sad to say this but we may already have seen Ben's last hurrah:( I'm hoping against hope we have an NFL season. I really want to see how he comebacks.

If the salary cap goes down without a season this year, Ben might be too expensive. Who knows when sports (or life) gets back on track.

I wonder what it would take for the league and the owners to leave the cap as is and report the season as a loss of profits across the board with no penalty.

Isn't the cap tied in with the previous year/years income? Maybe someone can enlighten us.

It is directly related to the prior year’s revenues.

You would think the special circumstances that are facing all pro and college sports would allow them to freeze things at last year's numbers at the very least.

Many years ago a friend went to the doctor with a weird rash on his elbow. My friend asked the doctor if it could be venereal disease? The doctor looked at him and asked “well what have you been doing with your elbow?” Suddenly my friend felt kind of dumb.

They already agreed on a minimum cap based on this years revenue, I think it was $175MM. This is a lot less.

Did he feel dumb for asking, or dumb for admitting what he’d been doing with his elbow?

I went to the top engineering school at the time. Some of the most brilliant people on earth. Many of them totally lacked in common sense. Many of us did well in life. A bunch of them couldn’t screw in a light bulb.
