So much for that media narrative that Ben is out of shape, and overweight .

I think he lost about 20 shaving that beard. Lets hope the arm holds up. Good news getting some work in with the receivers.

    That just makes me visualize

    The Tom Brady QB Classic

Organizer: Mr Roethlisberger will you be needing us to provide you with a tiny receiver for the event?

Ben: No thanks I brought my own (pulls Ryan Switzer out of his backpocket)

Wouldn't that rodent be too fast to be a good comparison?

I'm going to hell. I like Switzer. But I couldn't resist.

    Hey steelersrule6.

Good find. However, we are still in the same position, if not worse than before he got hurt. We saw what life was like without Ben last season. Not pretty! Now we have a "damaged" Ben and still no capable back-up. Yes, I am happy that he is up and about. However, and again, if he has any setbacks, short or long -term, we have no answer for this. I do not think Mason or Duck or even Lynch are ready to lead this team. Personally, I do not feel comfortable with our QB situation.

That's so great to see after suffering through that offense last year. There were games I was about to have an anxiety attack just praying for one 1st down.

We won 8 games and every one was a aneurysm waiting to happen. I would have a massive headache after each game and my blood pressure would be up 30 points. Even the wins were terrible.

I just hope he makes it through the whole year. We have zero backup on this team for our QB.

Lol I was thinking Mrs. Roethlisberger might end up in a delicate condition due to the beard trim and stay at home order

Yeah most of that was his choice of outerwear. Couple that with that bushy beard and he looked super big.

    Here’s a question.

Were you happy when Charlie Batch was back up?

    Batch’s career w-l record here was 6-3. 12 TDs, 12 Ints

Rudolph went 5-3, 13 TDs and 9 Ints.

Obviously it’s comparing one season to eight, so make of it what you will. But I think the clamour that we have “nothing” behind Ben isn’t quite true. Even if we may not have “the answer” there right now...

I think people have given up on Rudolph too quickly. He was never active his rookie season. That means he got next to zero reps in practice. That was a red shirt season, making 2019 basically his rookie season. A rookie QB being thrown to the wolves halfway through week 2 isn't normally successful.

Rudolph might very well have reached his ceiling last year, but isn't it possible that he might actually be a decent or even good QB in time? People here are willing to give Bud Dupree a big contract after it took him until his 4th season to live up to his 1st round status but want to tar and feather Rudolph for not living up to his 3rd round status after 2 years.
