I know this thread has been made already, but this is more of an official thread about it.

Today on Sirius, Adam Schein said Ben will be in consideration for the MVP award at the end of the year. I personally don't think he'll be seriously considered unless he starts throwing for more TD's, but hey, it shows Ben is getting respect from the analysts out there.

Schein also said he considered the Houston Texans the best team in the AFC, but said if the Steelers play the Texans in the playoffs, he thinks the Steelers will win.

Ben has played great but his numbers still aren't tops in the league, and the Steelers team isn't dominating... Both of which I say work against him.

I agree. It's all about stats, as well as wins. If we don't end up at least 10-6, I don't think he has a chance in hell unless he leads the league in TD's and yards, which will be tough at this point. If we end up 12-4 and he's among the tops in yards and TD's, as well as continuing to throw very few INT's, he'll have a serious chance. He'd need to start throwing much more TD's though.

I prefer to just win games so I don't want him airing it out constantly. I want to keep doing what were doing

Yep, according to Adam Schein. All I said is I don't think he'll win it. I think Peyton Manning is going to win it unless he falls off in the 2nd half. His come back story combined with his stellar play almost makes him a shoe-in.

I personally don't want him trying to pad his stats just to win MVP, I want him to keep doing what he's been doing so we can continue to win games.

With games against the Chiefs, Browns, Cowboys, etc. I would expect Ben's numbers could be more productive anyway, without necessarily padding the stats.

Peyton can have the regular season MVP. i would much rather Ben be the super bowl MVP.

ben should win MVP for all the little things he does to win the game for us....but he probably wont because he wont have 5000 yards and 50 tds

That's Zeus from NO HOLDS BARRED! One of the greatest pieces of American cinema that has ever been put to film. Hulk Hogan puts on a RIVETING performance as a professional wrestler. Also the guy that plays the mayor's little cronie in Ghostbusters 2 and he's also in many other 80s movies is also in No Holds Barred. Isn't that guy in the picture the guy that played Zeus? Oh what a masterpiece of a film! I mean it's on par with the Godfather and Citizen Kane which are my two personal favorites. AFTER No Holds Barred, Rad, and The Dirtbike Kid of course.

He actually wrestled for a little while in WWF after No Holds Barred came out and that's EXACTLY what he looked like then too. He wrestled as Zeus. Ironically Hogan still looks the same too. You know with leathery tanning bed skin and heavily bleached blonde and balding hair? Basically still what he looks like today.

Current Vegas odds for Ben getting MVP this year. It's about where I thought it would be, though, I thought Brees would be a little bit higher.~
