Blount was the veteran back up. Archer was the young guy getting trained up. Looking back, it all makes sense as to why that plan never really worked out.

You're missing the November 1 thing. I can't remember the details, but there was some sort of grace period allowed last year. Basically, if you got your crap taken care of by 11/1 you were in the clear.

Nope I'm not blaming roger for Bell's wrong doing, but without Bell I would'nt put it past the low life f*@ker Goodell to place some of the toughest games, where we need Bell the mos,t at the start of the schedule.

Everyone can say what they want, but it is painfully obvious that Goodell will do everything in his power to try and keep us down! JMO

I find this to be rife with paranoia and conspiracy theory. We sound like Raider and Brown fan when we assert this kind of thing, and, this just in, they are mostly an embarrassing lot. We shouldn't imitate such embarrassment.

You're being too gracious....maybe if he offers God-dell some assistance in his on going deflate gate investigation he can get it reduced.

Yep. Goodell doesn't sit there drawing up the schedule on his own in his office.

The fact of the matter is:
    - Bell has been penalised under the rules of the league.
    - The fact that he's a Steeler has far less - about none - influence on the penalty than the charge he was given
    - If there is inconsistency in the penalty, it wouldn't be the first time - for just about every team

Of course. But that doesn't mean that the situations themselves will be consistent.

For me, it's much like the penalties on-field - they seem to be called differently because each play unfolds in a different way. The more complex a rule or a situation gets, the more likely it will seem to be inconsistently upheld.

I know this is probably unpopular, but I don't see any conspiracy or unfair treatment here. 2 games for the DUI, 1 game for the possession.

I agree 100%. I honestly thought Bell deserved 4 games. DUI aint no joke. Now that I think about it I'm really kicking myself for not making my April Fool's Joke to have been that Bell got like 8 games. LOL!

I think all NFL fines go to charity.

TTF is right. I think the punishment fits the crime. Break the law, you get punished. As much as I dislike Goodell.. Bell did this to himself.. It's his own fault. The league or Goodell doesn't owe him anything. Whether it's his first offense or not. I don't want to lose bell for any amount of games. But he's lucky he's in the NFL.. If I was caught with what he did with my job.. I'd be fired on the spot.

In most states the owner of the car is held responsible regardless of who it belongs to. You are responsible for what gets in your car in the eyes of the law. I'd say PA is the same really.

I think it is a bit much but it is in keeping with the set policy. I think they could make better use having him do community outreach stuff but that's just me.

Here in oklahoma if there is more than one person the car, and they claim possesion of said item then i they are charged, if no claims possesion, then the owner/ driver of the vehicle is charged with it

Well I guess in PA it's not that way if she actually claimed to have been the owner of it. Although it really didn't matter because it was still in his system while he was driving. Honestly, this is one of those kinds of stories you hear on the radio about dumb criminals because they literally drive right by a cop with enough of an odor about the vehicle to make the cop stop them. I mean that is like some dang Cheech and Chong stuff. I'm surprised they didn't have a hot dog on the dash and the cop didn't say to them "what do you want?" and then "are you gonna eat that?" LOL!

Just glad is wasn't four games. Williams will be fine. If it get's reduced to two great. Just don't see it happening.

I believe that these kind of decisions have been taken out of the Liar Goodell's hands. He is part of it but does not stand as judge and jury now. This is what happens when you have to much power and your true colors show. Still don't understand Greg Hardy being reinstated. The example that should have been set is your gone. And Peterson. Sickening. The wonderful NFL still has a lot of work to do. They are filthy in riches, but bankrupt in morals...

I just wanna thank Rog now because Leveon will have less wear and tear come playoff time, kinda like the year Ben got suspended....we came oh so close,I wanted that SB so bad ,especially for that reason.

The MAIN reason I wanted to win that SB was because James Harrison had said that he was gonna whisper an insult in to the ear of Roger and I think that would have been hilarious.

I know in MD if it's in the car and no one claims possession everyone is charged.
