Think Dwyer hurt his chances with that performance? :hmmm:

i dont think so. he had a bad game, but it was just the 1st preseason game. cant take too much from that game. lets see how this weeks game and the next go. after the 3rd is when we should have a better idea of where all these guys stand. not too many guys make the team on their 4th preseason game performance and i would say not many players make or dont make a team based on their 1st game performance.

he did however open the door for Bell and Howlings to take his spot, but if Dwyer goes out this week and puts up nice numbers he will be right back in the mix with the 3rd game up next and to me thats that game where these guys make it or dont make it.

Lets hope so. One thing I know for sure well I guess its only an opinion. Batch has to go. He can pass block but thats about it. He is not likely going to improve.

I think both Batch and Dwyer deserve some "last chance" reps with the 1st team (I'd prefer that be in this week's game). Then if either one or both still suck, then good-ridance & hurry up and get someone else in here to give them a look.

Dwyer is an average running back and has shown us in some games he can perform. The showing against the Giants was poor so lets chalk it up to a preseason performance. Batch on the other hand has not looked good since showing up in the burgh. Yes he was injured but I fear he has along way to go judging by what we have seen of him.

every back will look better with the first team line. batch does other things well. he saved us 4 points on the punt block. I believe he's a better receiver, ST's player and pass blocker then dwyer. all those things have to be taken into account if they are to be the 4th back on the roster.

really dwyer does us no good unless he over takes redman and I don't think he can. red brings the short yardage and better blocker and better receiver as well as defensive ST's. the only reason we would keep dwyer would be an injury.

He really disappointed me, I am an old school guy, veterans come to camp prepared. Especially Running Backs and wide outs.

The depth will change frequently through preseason.. I predict in the very near you won't be hearing much on Batch and Dwyer it will be Howling & Bell.

Me too, he's just not showing he has the goods. He had that one game where he rushed for like 120 last season but that was it.

I would take Dwyer over Batch as it stands now. Let's see how it goes with Washington. Still early I suppose and Batch can redeem himself. IMHO he won't make the cut.
