I believe you are correct about the workouts and meetings. Therefore he needs to get timing down wherever he can and even then , when he comes back, he will be rusty.

I beg to differ Glenn. The man is coming off a knee injury. Rest is prescribed. We all know what he can do.He has nothing to prove. I dont give him a hat till week 4! He will keep his conditioning up on his own. He will be ready week 4!!

I ASS u ME d that Bell`s knee was healthy by now, or by the beginning of August...

If not, I`m with Myron, let it heal...

If It`s healthy, let him get the reps he can get, like Glenn said...

It` all a question of if the knee is healed yet..

ANd, I hate to say it, but with ALL the injuries that happen to these players, then they either undergo surgery, or re-hab...

No one really knows if they wll be the same again, until they get back on the field...

It`s truly amazing how well some of these young bodies, recover, with, all the time they have available to them, to re- condition, the injured parts of their bodies...

Same, for some of the older athletes..

But it is still a crap-shoot, until they get back on the field, and see if they have the confidence they did before, or if they will re-injure, what sidelined them in the 1st place...

An amazing percentage of them come back just fine..

    But some of them don`t...

My money is on Bell being just fine, but, it`s not a given...

And the fact, that he is STILL not 100%, gives me pause...

There is NEVER a 100% guarantee, on coming back from injury, but, as fans, we come to expect that, because we see it happen so often.

    GO STEELERS!!!

Throughout workouts practices etc. Coaches need to hone in observe along with conversation with Bell on progression. That being said if given the green light, toss him a hat fade him in without commitment. Don't forget he will have the timeout for his disciplinary action as well.

Just Last thursday i read that Bell made the remark (CBSsports) to reporters he's almost 100%. Through logical methods i came up with 99.9 % So i'm thinking if Camp doesn't spoil his fun he's a go! ... Besides i heard the D will be playing this year!!
