This is access you won't see on tv, because the Steelers don't allow the tv networks in their war room. There have been 3 episodes so far, in episode 3 you can tell once Kyle Fuller was off the board there was no hesitation Shazier was their guy.

 

Those videos are awesome. Can't wait until next Wednesday.

 

I'm sorry I can't watch any of those videos as the camera crews and the cameras themselves are a huge distraction that the front office and Coach Tomlin don't want.

Do we know if they would have taken Fuller in place of Shazier given the opportunity?

No not seriously but it was too juicy of a pitch not to take a swing at. In all seriousness though it does prove a point I was trying to make in the Hard Knocks thread and that is in this day and age of all access camera and film crews are going to be more and more common place for NFL teams. I think the front office is seeing this and trying to expand their online multimedia content. Way behind where the Penguins are with their pensTV segments.

 

I think so, I'm sure they would've taken Gilbert if he was still there.

 

There were reports that once Gilbert and Beckham were off the board, Shazier was their guy. How these reporters know that, .

 

I don't believe the Steelers would had taken a CB regardless of the CB available when they drafted. Shazier has rare ability and potential for a player at his position. There probably wasn't a CB in the draft that could have the overall impact on the Steelers' defense that Shazier could have.

 

so the patriots were on the cutting edge of this camera work.

 

Was watching the predraft videos from the Steelers.com website and it did seem like when Chicago picked (Fuller) Tomlin immediately said get Shazier on the phone.

I guess we will never know. The Shazier pick will create havoc anyways which will hopefully alleviate burden on CBs

I think that was the plan and maybe moreso by the tuitt pick in the 2nd than the shazier pick in the first. pressure makes things happen. pressure, speed and confusion makes for a good defense.

 

I disagree I think they would've drafted Gilbert or Fuller over Shazier at #15.

 

That moment was very intriguing - did that mean they were waiting to take Shazier all along, and when the Bears didn't take him they jumped on it?
Or that they wanted Fuller, so when he went it was straight down to the next guy?
I'm tempted to think the former.

Just checked out the finale. I was hoping to see the draft room during the 2nd and 3rd day picks, but still pretty cool.

 

I really digg these vids and I stay tuned to the main site for them. These are the best they have ever put up because they're so secretive and they allowed a glimpse.

We will never have a Fuller deal.

 

Hard to say but I think I agree with you Thigpen82. My heart tells me they really wanted Fuller
