Terry Bradshaw is playing himself in the new Owen Wilson / Ed Helms film, Bastards. I know TB can be infuriating and controversial and all, but this still looks pretty funny.

"She had a set of knockers...Damn near cost us the Super Bowl." :roflmao:

Today a Bears fan was telling me about the time he met Terry Bradshaw. He said that he actually grew up a Bears fan but switched to the Bears when he read an article about Walter Payton. Whatever as far as that goes but he said that he really liked Bradshaw and that he was his favorite qb in the 70's. This guy is also an enormous nascar fan and he had some tickets to the pit area at a race and he saw Bradshaw there and kind of geeked out and sorta went running after him and said "Hey Terry Bradshaw! You were my favorite qb growing up! It's awesome to get to meet you!" and he said Bradshaw said "You know why I hate coming in to the garage area? It's because of people like you!" and that was it. He said he feels like it was maybe all his fault that Bradshaw acted that way and he felt that if he had just approached him like a regular guy instead of a starstruck type person that seemed like a little kid. Who knows but have others here had similar experiences in meeting Bradshaw? He TOTALLY has this sort of "good old boys, aw shucks" persona but is he really like that?

I met him three times. He was always nice and genuine. Like most everyone, I guess you can catch them on good days and on bad days.

From people you've actually met or that's just his reputation like among people that have supposedly met him?

That's true but I can tell you there's one celebrity that I've met multiple times and his name is Don Rosa. He's the most famous Scrooge McDuck artist in the world and he's insanely popular in Europe. Well he's one of the most condescending and elitist jerks I've ever met. I've seen him treat even little kids like crap. I have a ton of artwork personalized by him because I greatly enjoy his art but man as a person he's just terrible to deal with. He's pretty much the one guy that I've met that I don't feel like was just "having a bad day" because I've seen him act that way on multiple occasions. I bought a print from him of Old Scrooge and Young Scrooge together once and I told his assistant "I want the one of Old Scrooge and Young Scrooge" and the guy said "That's only one Scrooge". I said "I knoooow....that's why I said OLD Scrooge and YOUNG Scrooge..." Rosa turned and heard me say it and said "He knows what he's talking about! I won't even sell that to people if they don't know that! THIS guy actually knows what he's talking about!" and it was just soooooo elitist and smarmy and passive aggressive towards the American audience that isn't as familiar with his work. It just sucks when you meet someone and they don't live up to who you've made them out to be in your mind but I like the fact that you've had good experiences with TB because I've always thought he seemed so much like a regular guy.

In all fairness to Terry, He's just trying to have a good time checking out the pit area at a Nascar race minding his own business probably deep into checking out the engine, chassis, interior ect....and somebody interrupts him like that. You want to be star struck at a Nascar race, run up to Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon or some other driver/owner where they are expecting it.

I've seen many famous people and met a few but I always try to let them have their space.

Many years ago I was at a 2 day concert and the second day we ran into the band on the street just walking around enjoying Louisville Ky. and the guy I was with went straight up to them acting like a child about to wet himself saying how awesome they were last night. Whatever, I kind of just walked on saying how ya doing and that was it. 4 hours later we walk into a nice restaurant where they all dining and he just barges up to their table asking them all for autographs. I could see the band kinda rolling their eyes. I got PO'd and told my buddy quit being an a$$.

Met Darren Perry in the 90's. One of the most genuine guys ever. Another teammate was with him but can't remember who he was for the life of me. They were getting bombarded for auto graphs while eating appetizers. My girlfriend and I were sitting right next to them. About a half hour goes by and the coast is clear. To my surprise he invites us to his table and basically introduced himself and I told him I know who he is. I told him I wish him luck in the game tomorrow against the Bengals. For the next 45 minutes we sat at his table and talked about anything but football. In my mind I think he really appreciated that. The next day while we're at the game in Cincy he came up with a big INT and my girlfriend is going nuts saying we hung out with him last night. Of coarse she had to tell everyone else around us. It was cool though. All the fans high fiving us.
