Banged up backs

Late season worn out backs and no backups becoming a common theme.


Need to start splitting carries or we are toast.

 

I agree bud. I would like to give Samuels a few more carries as well as Ridley. Wouldn't hurt to give Nix 1 or 2 as well. Would like to see Conner get about 20-25 touches a game and the before mentioned 3 get the other 7-10. They need to run the ball more, simple as that.

 

I noticed Conner had a bit of a hitch in his step in the second half, might be a little beat up. Last time I saw Ridley he fumbled and I haven t seen him since. Like what I have scene in Samuels but too small a sample to be sure.
Lately it seem's the Steeler way is to run the feature back into the ground while the other two get splinters.
It looks like everyone on defense gets some game time but it doesn t work that way on offense I guess.
If they want to take some load off of Conner it doesn't have to mean lets give up on the run and throw 50 times, spread the carries out by rotating the three backs all can catch the ball so it shouldn't restrict the play calling.

 

Pretty hard to share 10 touches a game between 3 backs.. They are not running the ball

 

Connors should be fresh ... physical wise, but mentally ... something happened after the concussion and after the Bell no show

 

Splitting carries? Okay, heres how we divvy up.

Conner 5 carries
Samuels 2 carries
Ridley 1 carry
Ben 50 pass attempts

We may be seeing the Fitchner Ben love affair. We all hated Haley at the end but at least he kept Ben grounded. Randy is becoming BA II.
