He will be like 32 next season and wants to get paid, the Steelers need to re-sign three guys on their OL by that time.

From the win prediction thread, I think it's clear we have a different opinion of the talent level on the team.

And our best guys (outside of JP Jr) are really old and basically ready to retire (Cam and Rodgers) or have been declining for the past few years (Watt).

I think we're generally OK at most positions. But there are no players who are currently elite on the Steelers roster.

I didn't even see you vote?

I see seriously talented young players coming up behind the upcoming Elite vacancies. I also believe we have more Talent than we are given credit for because of the fact that it has been hidden by poor coaching

I was talking about this thread: https://thesteelersfans.com/forums/threads/possible-win-totals-and-why.36861/#post-1569802

    I didn't see a poll.

    Now I see there's a prediction thread.

    I'll put something there too.

I think I'll pick 8-8-1. See if we can land on 00.

ETA: Based on your comments in the thread I linked, I thought you'd pick more wins. Interesting that you think that they'll do worse under MM than they did under Tomlin last season.:drinks:

Plus he's in a division where there isn't much competition ....... and he's going to get paid to stay there.

If he plays well this year he will be a FA and will command more than the Steelers should pay

If he does not play well then the Steelers don't need or want him

This was just off season clickbait and some of our posters have a need to make new posts for attention and clickbait is their only valid source

He is not the answer to our problem. I don't want to delay finding out what we have in Howard and Allar anymore unless we somehow land a young proven stud, and ....... I'd like to hit the lottery.:drinks:

I think Frazier is getting close to being elite.

I hit the lottery when I found my wife

    It wasn’t a big lottery

But over the years it seems to have gotten bigger ;)

No. Not because Baker isn’t good, its because I don’t think he would be as good back in the AFCN.

Only way I would take him is if his WR’s in Tampa came with him

I think he and JPJ are close.

I'd define elite as being a top 10% of starters in the league.

So, top 3 for C and top 6 for CB (maybe 9, but I think the slot CB position is kind of a different position).

I think this is also kind of the argument against Ben for 1st ballot (which I don't buy into myself). That he was rarely in the top 3 QBs becuase of Brady and Manning/Mahomes.

I think Frazier is kind of going to be in a similar position at C. Where Humphrey and Linderbaum are probably better than he is (or at least have more name recognition). I think it's especially hard for OL because it's genuinely difficult to rank them for most people (raises hand).

The two most important lotteries in life are (1) parents and (2) spouse.

I feel like I won both of these. The rest is the cherry on top.
