At the risk of breaking my own "beating a dead horse rule..." I cannot help but respond to this.

No - he's not afraid of toasters. He's afraid of endzones.

I've been paying attention. I have Donald Brown and Delone Carter in a dynasty fantasy football league I'm in, and I'm worried BA is going to screw them up. The guy doesn't know how to run the ball.

Who cares, he's gone man, let the Colts worry about him. I'd rather focus on our team and how Haley is going to do with us.

LOL at the people who think the drafts are the coordinators work.

Sure they have input, but its a collaboration of GM, HC, and OC/DC, and not solely on the coordinators shoulders.

    Other than that:

I just had to comment on this post. Yes BA has his hand in the pot big time in Indy!! Lets just see how long he last as their OC.

Anybody want to giv some odds or time.

I say 1 and a half years. I see him being fired or let go during the 2013 season.

Well - you have to admit - it HAD been awhile since we had a thread on him. We should have had a prediction thread on how long it would take for a new one.

trust me i'm not obsessed with BA. i was just putting it in prospective of how our draft changed and what he is doing out there. i'll bet he has alot more input then you think too. since they have had a changing of the guard in that organization from top to bottom and BA had a successful time here in pittsburgh, why wouldn't they want to follow a proven style?

just because BA is brought up you guys have to throw a fit. don't read it man. i'm saying we would not have brought in 3 offensive linemen if he was still here. they drafted a tackle in the 7th round. that just seems like alot of what we saw here during his time as OC. a weak line. i know he's not the sole picker in the draft, but a team will get what the OC wants to work with as a complete revamp. look at what we handed haley in this draft. 3 o-linemen, TE/FB, RB scatback/WR/3rd down back, playmaker, WR and picked up 3 FA's. which are TE's and one is also a TE/FB and cotchery.

so to sum up, it wasen't just a thread to attack BA. you can actually input some sensible discussion on the subject involving what might have been with what is going on here this year. it is the first year since the parting of ways and how it affects this team and others. ;)

All this board has talked about for several years was BA. Now that he is gone who really cares about what he is doing. Give the guy a break and let's talk about something positive. I can't believe that I'm reply to this stupid thread.

Maybe we need B.A. and Mike Wallace sub-forums so that those who want to endlessly talk about them can post away.

Im excited to see what Haley brings to the table this year.

Here is yet another big difference in the two

BA on Stefan Logan (5'6" 180lbs)
If I put him out there he will get broken in half

Haley on Chris Rainey (5'8" 180lbs)
He will line up in the backfield, out wide, on special teams...we will put him all over.

My thoughts exactly. GM's will take input and gather information from his coordinators and HC but he conducts the draft and makes the decisions on who gets drafted, it's his baby. BA didn't even attend the combine his last year here but people probably still believe he conducted that draft.

The Colts cut their franchise QB, cut their long time starting center, probowl TE, lost their other TE, lost via free agency most of their WR core. They cut their long time LB and have talked about dealing away one or both of their bookend DE. They have always had an undersized OL that was made to look better due to Mannings ability to read a defense and get rid of the ball quickly. New Coach , OC, DC, and GM. This draft had an abundance of talent at center guard and tackle sitting there waiting to be picked at the high draft spot that the Colts had not to mention DL and LB talent and with the 2nd and 3rd round pick they take 2 TE's. Please explain how that is not influenced by the guy who likes to use multiple TE sets? They have no center and they took Fleener? Yeah BA had zero input on this draft :frustrated:

Where did I say he has zero input? If you read what I wrote I even say the GM takes "input" but you are smoking Adams weed if you think BA conducts the draft and not the GM. I know BA farts lightning bolts and runs everything to some but he's not a GM.

Couldn't help but sense that Haley had his hand all over our draft, his first with us, this year.

I think every time a new coach is added to a team that team drafts to make him happy and give him new toys and weapons to earn his money. Seems to me that is fairly common.

Sorry T.E. That was meant more as a general comment on several of the posts here and not a response to you in general. However my point in there was that given BA's track record and his love of the 3 TE set I don't think that you can look at the Colts draft and not see that it has his handprints on it especially the second and third rounds. I am sure he said that a franchise QB and two strong TE can overcome multiple problems on the Oline because that was his philosophy here as well. It make no sense though when there were quality OLinemen sitting there and I am sorry if it was a HC and Gm decisions then that is just plain poor choice making.
