Big Ben was on the WDVE morning show today, and had a lot of positive things to say, most notably that he believes Heath will be back for the season opener.

    Here's a brief rundown:

    On the offense this year:

'We took last year's offense and threw out what didn't work, either changed it/tweaked it, and kept the good things that worked...'

'He [Haley] went to all the coaches and got their input on what they liked and didn't like last year.'

He thinks LG is Foster's job to lose and that Beachum can back up all 5 positions.

Discusses Charlie not being there, and the strangeness of Landry Jones texting him asking him questions about plays, and the reversal of the mentoring role.

Says they're going to miss Mike Wallace, but he thinks they're going to be just fine in the WR position.

He believes Heath being out right now is a non-issue, and that there's no doubt in his mind that Heath is in there for the first game.

    Listen~

Thank you TTF...another bit of Steelers info I wouldn't get otherwise. I really enjoyed listening to this and it confirms, in my opinion, that Ben is maturing. Really might be a blessing that he is now in the role of mentor. Any time that I have been in that role I have had more of a desire to be knowledgeable so what I preach is correct. Even though it is his opinion, it was nice to hear that he believes superman (Heath) will be there for 1st game. Yes, my bromance with Heath continues this season as well!

lombardi's don't come easy. you don't question the mission, you just carry it out. like when casey was injured. i saw things that no man should have to look at. Oh,the humanity. i gouged out one eye, but the picture was still etched in my mind.:lolol:

Snack...we will never speak of the under water incident again! Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do, or, in this case whatever gets him back on the field!
