Just wow. C'mon Mike, you are a professional. Blaming the offense for making you "lose focus" and therefore drop passes is pretty lame.

Well you are gonna basically get cruicified by the 4 or 5 Wallace fans left around here. Be prepared to be trolled hard for speaking ill of Mike Worthless. Just get ready to be enlightened of how good he was in FORMER years. Get ready to be reminded that he made a good catch in 09 vs the Packers. Get ready to watch people totally disregard that he has dropped more passes than anyone on the team this year. Get ready to hear people talk about how we have no right to say that he doesn't give as much "effort" even though ironically they have a right to say that he does.... Get ready to hear them talk about how is the number 1 receiver eventhough MIKE TOMLIN named him as "co-starter" with Sanders who is really the number 3. But none of that will matter. Just get ready for the inevitable trolling you are about to experience.

Good grief this guy is an incomparable moron! How can he sit there and act like he hasn't been targeted?!! In the Cincy game he was targeted MULTIPLE times and dropped 5! Can anyone tell me which receiver has been targeted the most this year? I would honestly be willing to bet that it's this stupid retard clown! Hey stupid DON'T BLAME HALEY FOR THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T CATCH! Man that article has my blood boiling. It's EVERYBODY else's fault! This guy represents all that is wrong with the world today. People that are underachievers because of someone ELSE. Wallace is a "victim" in his eyes. Haley "spreads the ball around" too much??? Really? Maybe someone should remind Mike Worthless that he has teammates that also need to be involved. Is Wallace actually saying that he usually doesn't get targeted in every quarter of the game? Mr. Rooney PLEEEEEEEASE cut this cry baby, special olympics, one trick pony, clown as soon as you possibly can!

I couldn't agree more bft. Maybe if he'd gotten the money he wanted he'd be motivated to stay more focused.....or maybe he'd be less focused b/c he'd be thinking throughout the games about all the things he could do with the $$$

Not to mention prepare to be told that I'm "not a true fan," because the steelers logo permanently injected into my arm certainly wouldn't prove my loyalty to anyone....

Ya know maybe someone should explain to him that ONE thing he could try and work on while he's not getting as many looks as he would like to is LEARN TO BE A BETTER BLOCKER! Just because you're not getting the ball doesn't mean you can't contribute to the team. We have harped for years that BA didn't use Heath effectively right? Yet in ALL that time did we hear Heath come out and complain even ONCE??? Good grief Wallace is a diva and a poor excuse for a Steeler. I'm gonna jump and shout the day I find out that the Rooney's have told him to hit the road. I wish someone would send this article to the front office and also right to Todd Haley. I'm telling you right now that he's not gonna play these little games with these guys that make it all about themselves. I hope Heath and AB have career games this weekend and I hope Wallace gets to just stand there and watch! In a perfect scenario for me Wallace would get the most targets, drop them all, and we STILL win the game. I just want to assure that he is NOT on this team after this year. I didn't think I could ever like anyone less than I liked Willy Gay but I was waaaaaay wrong. I hope Haley finds out about this article and calls him out on EVERY SINGLE BALL that he is ASSUREDLY gonna drop!

Yeah! TTF actually called someone out for that crap a week or so ago though so maybe that won't happen anymore. But I'm sure they will be thinking it though. I just don't know how anyone could POSSIBLY defend what he said in this article dude! It's incredible that he could have that kind of nerve. But I've gotta ask. Is that your actual hair in the pic or a wig? I've seen a lot of people at games that will wear Troy's jersey with a wig like that to sorta cosplay as him. That's why I was asking. I've always wondered it actually.

haha...nah that's not my hair. I'm clean cut with brown hair (and more and more grays every day :-/ ). I had the same outfit on when at the AFC Championship against the jets. I originally bought the wig earlier that year because I went as Slash for halloween....lol

I was starting the same thread so this belongs here

There was a thread after the Bal game about how Mike was a team player not so sure I agree. "Sometimes I have to remind them not to forget about me.” To me this does not sound like a team guy. If he was catching everything and making plays more than he is not I am pretty sure they would find a way to get him the ball more. The reasons Millers targets are up is because good things happen when he catches the ball, same goes for AB. With his attitude I cannot see him wearing black and gold after this season. I like what he brings as a speed guy opening the middle for AB and Heath but a legit No.1 he is not and the worst thing is he does not realize that. His production early in his career was teams not prepping for him. Now that teams understand his skill set they take him out and that’s why he does not see the ball as often as he would like. He just do not have the intangibles to be the elite WR he thinks he is.

Oh that's hilarious! Did you also have a cigarette hanging out of your mouth and four bottles of Jack Daniels in your system with the big top hat? LOL.

Is this really necessary?? Can we just comment on the article and not forsee what posters are going to say?

At any rate, I guess my advice to Mike would be to actually catch the ball and then, possibly, you will get more targets?? Also, admitting losing focus- regardless of why you are doing it- doesnt exactly make any team want to run out and sigh you to a big contract. He has a lot to learn.

I have a wig like that for the same reason. I was a manager at a Blockbuster Music store back in 1995, and we dressed up for Halloween at work that year. I had the hat, hair and a trenchcoat to dress up like Slash, and a teenage kid comes up to me and says, "Hey, I know you are, you're Axle Rose!" I just smiled and rang up his CDs. I've wanted to use that wig with my TP jersey, but I haven't been able to find it for the last couple of years :p

Wow, I guess I should have expected something like that from him, explains the dumb way he handled his negotiations. I know he probably thinks he's manning up by admitting to that but here's the thing Wallace, you shouldn't have that attitude in the first place! They say WR's are prima donna's, guess Wallace is living up to that bill.

So people need to think like you do? Seriously? I think Wallace is under performing, I think if he gets his head out of his @ss he will be a big asset to this team. I don't think he is worth an elite WR contract and I don't like his current attitude. I think the over the top criticism of him is silly.

Agree on both counts. That sort of thing almost always unnecessarily causes a problem, not to mention the fact that it's not even true.

Back to the topic, there's no excuse for a pro football player to complain that he loses focus during a game. Whatever the cause for his recent problems with catching the ball...when you have a really fast Wide Receiver that has difficulty catching, what are you left with? A track star with a helmet on? The sad thing is he'll probably end up getting a decent payday next year and lighting it up on an AFC rival's roster.

TTF, I hear ya. I shared how I feel, I leave it at that.

And you are absolutely correct, that is exactly what Wallace is without running crisp routes. People should take note of how quickly they extended Brown...now THAT is a wr who can run a route!

Wallace has more Targets than any other WR on the roster by a wide margin , and its documented so you can chose to believe him or you can believe the truth ..

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/9348/career

    Wallace career stats ....

note the targets in prior years vs this year ..... 2010/2011 -99 for the entire season ... 2011/2012 - 114 for entire season .... this year 93 and counting so how the hell does he figure he is getting targeted less ????
this season through 12 games he is targeted 7,75 times per game on average at this pace that would be 124 targets for the season.....
last season his most targets of his career of 114 for 16 games he was targeted on average of 7.125 times per game

52 catches for 93 targets is not a very good ratio for a man who's game is predicated on being so fast he leaves his man in the dust

as a side note last season he had 20 more catches for the year than he currently has to date this season ( yes we have 4 more games to go ) but with those 20 more catches his total receiving yards where TWICE what he has to date this season , sure the new system has something to do with that with more shorter passes but he has had his share of deep balls this year too , he just fails to make the catch ...

so not only does he have trouble catching the ball he also has trouble doing math and/or telling the truth
