So what you are saying is that you have this effect on people in person as well? :lolol:

J/k, sorry I missed this post before you went in, glad the surgery went well hope you have a full and speedy recovery

Also, I'm going to find it for you but my brothers have read a really good book about the destructiveness of sugar, sounds like your diet probably is playing a part in how you are feeling.

BFT, hope everything went well with your surgery.

I recently had a procedure too and the surgeon told me, on more than one occasion, that I had an 8% chance. When I pried the info out of him, turns out that he meant I had an 8% chance of NOT leaving the hospital! Now, I'm no mathlete but, doesn't that mean that I have a 92% chance of WALKING out of the hospital? Surgeons. They have no bedside manner at all!
Marcus Welby has left the building!
    Get well soon!

Finally think I had a breakthrough last night. I was having really sever back pain and pain into my chest. They told me it was probably gas trapped in there from the surgery because they use gas to sort of blow your stomach up a little bit and it takes a while to dissipate. But they had acted like it was no big deal and would just be bothersome but it was actually extremely painful. So last night I started feeling it and went and set in a rocking chair and went back and laid down and all of a sudden there was like a "release" or something and it relieved me. I was so glad. I go Thursday to get the staples out and hopefully in a couple of weeks I can go back to work.

Yeah this dr has really low marks for the way he treats people. Since I've had to deal with him I've talked to 4 or 5 other people that also had a similar experience with him. Even his own nurse at the hospital flat out told me that he had no clue on how to communicate. The guy is doing major surgery on me and literally didn't ask me one single question about my lifestyle. When I had my vasectomy the dr walked in and the very first thing he asked me was what I did for a living. Doctors sorta tick me off in general because they always want everyone to know they're the smartest people in the room and if you don't believe it you can just ask them.

Well, I started having gall bladder attacks about 5 years ago. They come and go from time to time. For awhile there after they first started, I was having one every few weeks like clockwork. And yes they are extremely painful! I actually haven't had any for awhile (knock on wood). I don't know if it's inevitable that it's eventually going to be taken out if I have already had problems with it or what. I don't know if it typically gets progressively worse over time or if that isn't necessarily so. What say you fellas? Is this S.O.B coming out or what?

If you do that HIDA scan and it proves that it has totally stopped working or isn't working good enough they will take it out. I pastored a lady whose Dr. refused to take hers out because it "wasn't bad enough". That seems cruel to me. Mine had literally stopped working and was attacking almost every hour of the day. I've never been in that much misery. It has been out since March and I have some problems still with certain things I eat just hurting my stomach and they say that can last for a year or so. Also the scar tissue hurts from time to time. Still it's NOTHING compared to the pain of having a bad gallbladder in there. I talked to a nurse who almost died because hers was about to poison her! It aint no joke.

Wow, thanks for the info. If mine gets to that point where it is happening constantly I guess I'll know it's time. After having those somewhat frequent attacks for a year or two, it seems to have really leveled off for some reason. I don't think I've had one in almost a year that I can remember. Hopefully it's not just a fluke lol.
