Any Update on Mason?

Wondering if there are degrees of severity and what he is diagnosed with.

Last I heard he was doing fine

 

Everyone of the beat writers tweeted he came in and wsa at the facility today. Apparently part of the concussion protocol is that the media can not talk to him but they all said he smiled and said good morning

 

I heard on 93.7 the fan that he attended all meetings today so at least his head is clear enough for that.
It was also mentioned that James Washington has his shoulder in a sling.

 

Attending one of our meetings might not require that much mental capacity.....just sayin.

He is in the concussion protocol, meaning only doctors decide. MT said he'll have the update for every injury on Tuesday.

Not sure what to think.

If he clears the protocol than he's good to go, but maybe it would be best to skip the Chargers game and take advantage of the bye week before coming back. At the same time, I'm not a doctor and have no clue if that makes a difference or not.

 

Even if he clears the protocol this week I doubt he would play. IMO, it would be a stupid decision. Anyone that gets knocked out, needs more than a couple days to get right.

Nothing wrong with letting Duck get a shot this week. Let's see what he can do with the big boys. The season is basically over at this point so I would work all the young guys anyway to see who to keep and whom to let go next year.

There are grades but they won't say anything other than if he practices and if he is still the in the protocol. Not a doctor but judging by loss of conscious I assume it was Grade 3 (severe)

Mmm. I knew nothing about the criteria. I thought there was medical science testing such as checking a response time to stimuli and comparing that to an established norm or the individual`s personal norm.
