Do the Browns have any chance at all to pull the upset against Baltimore??

Ravens have won 8 straight Divison games and 12 straight home games.

I think they only hope the Browns have is if Baltimore beats itself. But strangley the Browns seem to play well on Thursday nights, they play a great game last year against us at home on Thursday night, basically ruined the season by making Ben injured and back in 2009 the beat us on a Thursday night game.

So what do you think, do they have any chance?

Colon Cowherd was saying yesterday that he thinks the Browns have a chance. I don't remember all of his reasons, but among them were:

    1. This is Baltimore's 4th game in 18 days

    2. Baltimore is coming off of a very emotion win over the Patriots which could come back to bite them

    3. The Ravens' defense has some issues right now

There were a couple of more reasons he gave, but that was the gist of it.

They always have a chance, it's the NFL. They have the replacement Refs as well.

That 09 game was probably the maddest I ever got at BA. It was almost below zero for that game and I think Ben threw like 50 passes or something. I just remember thinking that was the pinnacle of stupidity. If that's not running weather I guess there is no such thing. It was at THAT very moment I developed a man crush on Todd Haley and KNEW that he would be here for the '12 season. JUST KIDDING!!!!

I believe from everything I have been reading on ESPN that the real refs are back starting tonight,

They are back. Now we can sleep tight knowing there will never be another bad call.

    I detect the sarcasm. :)

Of course there will be bad calls. But the flow of the game, and (hopefully) overall officiating should improve.

Either way, this is their first game back. They're going to be rusty, and I fully expect a snafu or three.

Exactly, I made a comment about it before but while trying to watching games on Sunday Ticket, so many of the games were jammed up, you couldn't get into it. The real refs make mistakes, of course but they know the rules and for the most part, get things done quick.

No chance. As much as I hope the Browns can pull of the miracle I just don't see it, unless there is a major injury to one of the Ratbirds main players like Flacco, Rice, Ngata or Reed. Or maybe all of them??? A guy can hope right? :yeehaw:

As Greenie said on Mike and Mike when they first announced this, "Now we can stop complaining about the replacement refs and get back to complaining about the regular refs."

Ha, that was funny. I didn't realize Woodley's episode aired already. Embedded.

Nah, those types of html embed codes need a custom bbcode. You're free to help yourself to the doughnuts, but there's only a jelly, a maple frosted, and a bran muffin left.

So, is John Fox overly sarcastic, or are they taking a jab at someone else?

Honestly no idea. My only criticism is that I would have found it MUCH funnier if Tom Brady seemed to really enjoy Butters' "sports drink."

OK. I didn't watch the full episode, but now my interest is fully piqued. I'll have to give it a watch later. :)

I gotta cheer for Baltimore this week. Picked them in my survivor pool that's worth $2,600. For that much money I'll cheer for the Ravens against the Browns.

I despise Baltimore, but I'm not stupid, so I have Ray Rice on my fantasy team. So, what I'm rooting for this week is for Ray to rack up a bunch of yards and a couple of touchdowns, but for the Browns to somehow miraculously outscore them.

well the rats lost to some pretty crappy teams at the beginning of the season last year, so anything is impossible. Read this board for more than a few days, and one could be of the opinion that they are invincible. Best O in the NFL, Best D in the NFL, Best use of purple, yada yada yada

It's almost like a bye week for Ravens, then a nice long rest.

To answer the first question: absolutely. And I would not at all be surprised if the Browns punch the Ravens in the mouth tonight and win 14-10.

Well I still can't bring myself to cheer for the Ravens so instead I'm just hoping REALLY hard that you find $2,600 in a parking lot or something.
