I just thought he assumed the kicker was gonna go low and tried to hurdle him. I didn't think that he intentionally kicked the guy in the face. Is it a penalty every time your foot makes contact with a guy's head even if you are hurdling him?

It was completely unnecessary. Whether intentional or not, if he takes a move to the left then it's a TD. One of the weirdest decisions I've seen on a team that made a fair few weird decisions today.

I don't think it was intentional and agree he should've veered left and scored. Now we'll see what Adolph goodell decides. Hopefully there isn't a suspension coming, but it wouldn't surprise me.

He was obviously trying to hurdle him but why bother as you said? I just chalk it up to things happening so fast, you have little time to make decisions.

He was trying to hurdle him.

I don't have a problem w/ it and a penalty is not warranted IMO

    Completely intentional.

Funny as hell, but totally on purpose.

He just had Juked a Brown about 5 yards back , he knew he was back there so rather than give him a chance at a strip he took the straight route. I have done and seen the same thing many times ,,,,actually it is a smart play against a punter ,it works most of the time.

That's what I'm thinking too. The slow motion replays make it look intentional. He just exited a cut when the punter got in front of him and he tried to jump over him. Are we honestly saying that a guy with a team/work ethic reputation that Brown has chose to kick a guy in the face instead of cutting for the touchdown if he felt that was an option?

I think he was trying to hurdle him. It would have been a highlight reel play for a long time. I think he realized he wasn't going to make it and gave it a little extra attitude.

    I think he gets fined.

Even if it was completely intentional, I have no problem with it. We need to start playing with some attitude. Maybe he got a sneak peek at the Life of Mean Joe that's coming up this week.

I see a fine coming, why not go left and score?

initially, brown was definitely trying to hurdle him.. when the punter didn't go as low as brown suspected, the kick became deliberate.... should definitely have taken the left sideline for the 6, but things happen extremely fast on the field

When most guys go low they lunge forward. The punter got scared and was falling back. AB was going to hurdle him, as we have seen other players do many times, but usually the would-be tackler it actually trying to make the tackle. When the punter cringed backward, AB could not clear him. I would rather he force his foot down vice end up with a sprained ankle. Should not have even been a flag, imo.

We were laughing our asses off. I honestly don't think that was his plan - it just happened to work out that way.

If it had been a forearm to the head, it would have been a penalty, so I don't see a problem with calling it a penalty. And obviously unintentional. Probably a fine, not a suspension. Maybe 5k.

AB left his feet too early as well. Clearly he never ran hurdles in track. ;)

if the punter had tackled like a man his face wouldn't have been in the position of that of a 10 year old girls.
