Troy Aikman went 1-15 his first year with the Cowboys but he said he learned a lot about playing QB in the NFL that season. Pickett is 24 years old after spending 6 years in college, he is very mature and emotionally stable to take on the responsibility of being a starting NFL QB. He isn't a Johnny Manziel type who let money and fame get to his head and have his career melt down after a couple of years.

I think Pickett gives them a better chance to win more games. You can’t not start him just because you are afraid he is gonna get hurt behind a sub-par offensive line. If he gives you the best chance to win you start him period end of story. If I’m the Steelers and Omar Khan I am continuing to explore all options on this O line moving forward before the season starts. If that means bringing in guys currently sitting on their couch that are veterans without a team you do it.

Mitch will probably start just due to experience over Pickett dealing with defenses and shifting protections.

Rudolph is a back up. I don't trust what he does in preseason. Come regular season he doesn't play at the same level.

Offensive line is horrid. I seriously don't know how Trubisky or Pickett are going to be able to be productive game in and game out with that line.

Joe Burrow had his knee torn and couldn't finish the last drive of the super bowl because his ****ty line. I don't know how we will be able to judge anyone with that line.

They gotta go back to super short passing... Ben did it last year and got them to the playoffs. Let's see if they can repeat that success this year.

Dobbs is having a decent preseason.

Wonder if he’ll get any of the 11 games action?
    That’s inconvenient for the Steelers.

Rudolph is also in his 5th year on the team and hasn't played against any starters in the pre season. 5th year on the team. going against 3rd stringers. and he has been putrid in real game action. FFS duck hodges took his job for a few games. he STINKS. get rudolph out of town
