Am I stupid for thinking this?

We all agree that Ben played BAD this game. He never seemed to calm down, his feet were moving all over the place. He was too antsy. He almost seemed anxious to get hit.
I'm not saying this is the ONLY reason, but does anyone think he's a little different since he got married & had kids? He said before that when he got hurt, they were all he could think of. I know that's the way it should be- & I'm not saying I want him to leave his family for the team. I'm glad he's not as reckless as he used to be. But do you think the injuries he suffered against the Ravens in the past plus thoughts of his family made him so anxious? Or is that just stupid?

Nope. I think having a family is whats best for Ben.

He just had a very bad game at the worst possible time for the 2015 season.

Yeah, he's a better person & he's matured a lot as a player since he got married. I'm glad he did. He didn't just play bad, he seemed almost panicky on some of his drop backs... I just wondered if he was nervous about getting hurt.

Well, that's good because that would just be, um, stupid. :lolol:

Everyone has good days and bad days... I think Ben suffers from a bad case of the nerves in big games sometimes, too.

    WELL
it appears he would rather stay at home than get into the playoffs and fight for another month playing football.
he's banking a lot of cash to just play 16 games a year

I happen to believe he's shell shocked against the Ravens, too many hits from previous years

I don't think any of that is affecting his play in a negative way.

On good days, Ben reads the field well, spreads the ball about, makes good adjustments and extends plays.

On bad days, Ben looks for one guy constantly, forces the ball and adjusts too late.

It's the same Ben each time. I don't know if he was feeling hurried in the pocket or not - maybe. But really, today was nothing we haven't seen since the days of Plaxico.

Maybe Santa didn't bring him anything and he was thinking too much about how to get on the nice list for next year.

If anything, I think Ben's jitters today would be the result of sustaining two injuries already this season, playing a heated rival in what is always a hard-hitting game two weeks before the playoffs (cue Jim Mora). Statistically Ben has been playing some of his best football the past couple of years, which of course be since becoming a member of his own Married with Children series in life.
