we know he can't do it alone though. does the lineup we have at this point that we will put on the field strike fear into any other team around the league? even with ben? without the other parts you just have a good qb and 8-8 seasons.

 

i sure hope so. i also hope something is left to pick from when we sign worilds and get the woodley savings. i think this is why i was so against the cam thomas signing at this point. it's not the signing but who is available right now with the limited money we have to use right now.

 

Let the draft happen and if they really want someone they'll find the money and space.

Now the Thomas sign up, you referred to, an argument could be made for mediocrity but I can't even fault them there. We picked up a run stopper that can still play and has plenty of NFL time in. If nothing more than backup, for the price, is a good idea. IMO

I read an article today that said Thomas can also play the 5 technique

 

but how well? i guess we will find out soon enough.

 

i would have prefered pat sims than thomas
