Not sure about that. I thought I read somewhere that the SEC championship game will no longer be east vs west but rather the two top teams in the conference.

As much as I would love to smack talk you guys for not making a bowl game, I'm not gonna do it because we're all there together. The SEC is just really tough with Bama and Georgia sitting at the top. Hell, even Ole Miss has gotten rolling with Kiffin. Mizzou had a great season and finished up by beating Ohio St. A&M has tons of money and recruits like crazy. LSU seems to always be hanging around the top and with TX and OK coming in, there isn't even an argument that can be made that the SEC isn't the best conference in college FB. It is going to be really difficult for one of the lower tier programs to climb into the upper echelon if the SEC and actually stay there. Not impossible but it's gonna take deep pockets to get the recruits needed to make a difference. I don't care how great the HC, staff, facilities, etc are if you only have 1 or 2 great players, then a bunch of 3 stars and 2 stars, it's tough to compete with a program loaded with 5 stars and are getting half dozen dudes drafted into the NFL every year.

Washington has got some speed on defense.

 

I think the Big !0 is or will move that same way. Which should prove interest, because as these conferences get larger the head to head battles will be limited. So essentially right now you will have Michigan and OSU in the title game most years, perhaps USC, Oregon, PSU get in at times. Sec GA or Alabama, at least one, with LSU, TX, OK, being the chasers.

 

The SEC is not unbeatable. Where's @S.T.D

Nobody said they were. I said Bama no way should have gotten in over Georgia. You can find many many post of Me saying this. Also if all the bowl games mean anything.....the SEC still looks the strongest. Hell after over 25 years of dominant football....someone else should win every once in awhile. Go Washington. I was more happy Texas lost than anything.
