This does NOT make me happy. No point in fixing the secondary if you let the defensive line go to pot.

He's a soon to be 27 year old backup on a subpar unit. Guys like that are a dime a dozen. We needed an upgrade anyhow.

I hope they can get him back. he's played increasingly better every year. 27 is not old. his flexibility would be missed somewhat, and yes it could impact the draft. arnfelt could become quite valuable.

Probably just letting him see what's out there, they often do that. If he gets a big offer (highly doubtful) they won't try to keep him, if it's something they can compete with, they will, assuming they want him back.

We do have an opening at DE for a starter. Not sure why he would leave, unless it is just to see what is out there.

We can't let Da Beard, Hood & Woods ALL walk, can we?

Yeah, what is going on here? Woods played really well, I'm not sure why he hasn't seen the field sooner. I'd really like Woods back.

If they all walk Steelers either plan to:
    1. Sign a different guys
    2. Draft Dlinemen with half our picks
    3. Or they have some master plan where Fangupo is our future NT and Mclendon shifts to DE.

Here's hoping that Arnfelt gets a permanent hat this year. Still, we can't let all 3 of those guys walk. All of them should come fairly cheap.

Honestly, I would love to see McLendon, Fangupo, Hood, Woods, Heyward, and Arnfelt all back with Williams maybe as the #7 or on the PS. That requires us to sign some of these guys though. If we can pull that off, it really only leaves CB and LBs as defensive spots to fill holes with at the draft.

Everyone seemed so high on Woods here last year. Someone's got to play D-line...

I'm puzzled, as usual, this time of year. I have no idea why the FO won't include me in their discussions..........

We only have so much cap money to spend and I swear DL has GOT to be addressed. Woods was a key resign on my books. I could see Hood walking. I'd like to see DaBeard back as a reserve DE. In his final 2 games last year he had 2 sacks and a FF.

One thing is for sure, the steelers have a game plan, just wish I knew what it was.

The front seven was terrible last year. I am not sure that I am sad to see someone go who couldn't even start on a terrible line.

We need new players and starter in the front seven, outside of Jones/Worilds/Timmons/Heyward.

I don't think very highly of Ed, in fact, I think very little of him. Schefter is the only one I really trust.

Appears that Woods has now, in fact, actually signed with the Titans according to a Tennessee beat writer.

2 year, $5 Mil contract for Woods. Haven't heard of guarantees, but probably pretty low.

Probably a legitimate shot at being a starter. Though, that's a pretty sweet contract for a guy who's hardly played.
