Have any of you learned a lesson? Here is what glazer actually said.
That’s a far cry from what people twisted into a story. Look for actual quotes instead of whatever a “reporter” twisted into their story. Remember a lot of these people aren’t actual journalists. They’re just people trying to garner clicks and earn paycheck.

Still not excuse. He should’ve answered the question at the podium.

Glazer is his bud, why leak that out there, only to put Tomlin in the crosshairs?

With social media, some reporters have gotten lazy. It’s like the old game of telephone. The message gets watered down after it makes it ways through a few people.

In addition to the above, there are an emerging number of “reporters” who just simply repost or regurgitate.

That’s the thing they aren’t reporters, but that’s not the point. People keep falling for the same clickbait bs over and over and over again. If people didn’t buy into the bs hook, line, and sinker there would be whole lot less of it being pushed.

He isn’t putting it out there without already talking to Mike or his personal representatives.

Where do you think they get their scoops from? You think Adam Schefter just gets lucky?

Usually this is how this stuff starts getting leaked out: some reporter says “hmm, I think Bill Cowher wants to take some time off.” It starts off as speculation and then a couple months later … Bill Cowher quits.

I never once thought Tomlin was stepping down. The story had BS all over it from the beginning.

That’s the thing nobody said he was stepping down or taking time off. Glazer said there are some people around the league…
It’s dumbfounding how people fall for this crap repeatedly

Glazer didn't. But many others jumped in and turned this into a story. By the time the ball was kicked off everyone on TV was acting like Tomlin stepping down was imminent. Talk about a story snowballing.

“There is some people around the league”.

You can take that two ways, you can believe it is full of crap for clicks, or you can believe this guy has connections and has talked to people close to the situation.

Just because you don’t believe it doesn’t make it complete BS.

This is what this guy does for a living. Even guys who are wrong a lot like Laconfora, do have connections and are correct sometimes.

Let’s see how it plays out.

I never figured that he would quit this offseason, but I think he might just play out the contract he has. He has no extension yet, which is very rare for a Steelers Coach…He should have answered the question instead of punking out.

Okay, I will just let it go … clearly this is personal for you.

I will say this though … The Glazer comments gave many local Pittsburgh Sports writers pause, they know how well the two get along.

WAY before social media, we tried an experiment in Cabo San Lucas. We came up with a g rated story and each told one person to see how it changed. My story was that a girl named Dawn and I went horseback riding at midnight. By the time the story got back to me, my buddy said he heard that Dawn and I had gone riding naked and had sex on the beach at midnight.
Some stories get better the more people tell them. Like Tomlin stepping down.

There were certainly a high percentage of people on here praying for it.
