    That author looked at QBs who changed teams, and teams that had multiple QBs during the same season.

    He didn't look at a change in play calling, like when the Steelers' OC went from Arians (Ben averaged 3.6 sacks/game from 2007-2011) to Haley (1.9 sacks/game from 2012-2017).

    Personally, I think elements of both are in play. QBs have a style that can be more or less susceptible to being sacked, just as good protection from the OL or separation from the WRs or adept play-calling can mitigate pressure.

    So I don't think it's 'nonsense', but I would be interested in the the report you mentioned. I don't think it's all on the QB's style, as I had some issue with some of the data/results from which they drew conclusions.
