In the vast majority of cases I’d agree but if you are going to pay a running back Jones is a good one. He has had a very manageable load since he came in to the league and he adds a lot of value as a receiver.

Irrelevant for the Steelers either way because I don’t think they can afford him. He will probably get $10m + per year in free agency

thats why i mentioned jamal williams which is their backup. he runs well and catches well and is a big back. he may want a starting gig. he is also a free agent. they drafted the kid from BC and he runs well also. he will probably move up for them. williams made in the 700,000 range last year. i know we cant afford jones, that was a wish list guy. if we had the money i'd still say hell yes to him.

Actually, that was from a long ago board member who doesn’t come around anymore by the name of Scott Chab. That was his thing.

Like Blast said at the top, salary cap. Maybe they bring him in for a look see but I believe he will want to get paid. That's not happening. Look to the draft, Snell, McFarland and sign a cheap FA later.

The trenches are the most important need to improve upon. The need to be physical.

I think Jones hired Rosenhaus as his agent, the Steelers can't afford him, he also fumbled twice in the NFCCG vs Tampa Bay.

We could of had our pick of RB last year in the 2nd round.

I hope the Steelers go OL in the first and then RB in the 2nd. We need an offensive lineman way more than we need a RB.

When I first saw this thread I thought something happened to the Steelers #1 pick in 1988.
