I have recently got a new phone that's a 4g Samsung Axiom and the phone I had before was a blackberry. Well when I've been at games the blackberry wouldn't get reception in the stadium and I was curious if the Axiom will since it's 4g and the blackberry was a first generation. The reason I'm wondering is because I was gonna use my phone to try and listen to the pregame and all that. I don't think I can listen to the actual broadcast on WDVE but if I could get it on ESPN radio would they be broadcasting it? Also is there a Cincy station that I could listen to it on? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and I will dance at anyone's wedding that will help me. Also can you tell me if it uses a lot of data to stream a game broadcast?

How good your reception will be is more a matter of who your carrier/provider is. The phone has little to do with it.

Go to the google store and dl "Steelers Gameday Plus." It will have the ability to listen to the radio broadcast if you're within 75 miles of the stadium. ;) Just watch your battery.

Oh I have that alreaday but I didn't know it let you listen to the games. That's awesome. So it will really hurt the battery? Do you mean like REALLY bad? Also how is it on data? I only have 5gb. I wish they would create like a portable phone charger that you could carry with you. LOL.

You'll be fine with data. But depending on your phone's settings, how many apps you're running, etc, it can eat the battery fast. Listening to a game broadcast in pre-season, my phone chewed up 40% of my battery in one half. (Samsung Galaxy 4S) So unless pre-game and halftime is really important to you, you might want to turn it off.

You can't access this site from your phone? I can. :) I'm almost always at work during the day. If you see me post between Noon and midnight, I'm usually on my phone. :lolol:

No. It says it's not supported or something like that. Like I can look at it but it won't let me do anything.

What web browser are you using on the phone? Download Firefox and try again.

They do have small little portable chargers for phones - I have one. I have a golf ap that can use alot of battery due to map images and constant GPS usage. It is about 1/2 the size of the phone and you pre-chrge it and then if you are low on your phone, connect it and it charges the phone.
