A sad day for Steelers Nation

    For those of you who don't know, Richard was a little boy with an inoperable brain tumor who was a HUGE Steelers fan. Last year he even was able to go on the Steelers sideline during a game. My wife and I just saw his mom's post from about 25 minutes ago on Facebook. Heaven gained another angel this morning...

    I remember him. How sad. My sympathies to the family during this difficult time.

    I have been following the "Richard's Journey" page since 2012. It's heartbreaking but at least the little guy isn't suffering anymore.

    Horrible...my best friend lost his 4 year old daughter to cancer on her brain stem 8 years. Fk cancer!!

    Absolutely gut punching when you here about these kids illnesses and deaths.

    Hope the family keeps his memory going with the charity events in his name.

    Very sad, I remember reading about his story. No child should have to go through that. RIP.

    My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. It was very nice to see that his Mom tried to fit as much life experience as she could into her sons life despite his illness. RIP dear boy Steeler Nation is dimmer with your loss but brightened by you heart and spirit.

    very sad. RIP little guy. I know your going to still be waving your terrible towel for your team. God Bless the family.:cool:

    Yeah his mom is posting stuff on the facebook page every day, sometimes numerous posts...so damn sad

    Oh man....RIP little guy. As a mom, I CAN NOT imagine how she is surviving this. Actually, as a PARENT (not just moms) - I just don't know if I would be strong enough. Prayers to his family.

    I'm not a parent yet, but I cannot imagine ever having to go through this either. So sad
