    Ok, here goes:
Rush - A Farewell to Kings
    Pink Floyd - Animals
Yes - Close to the Edge
    Megadeth - Rust in Peace
    Symphony X - Paradise Lost

I could have gone with any one of 5 Rush albums here, and any one of 3 or 4 Pink Floyd and Yes albums. It was tough to take one from each. I also want to put a Led Zeppelin album here, but as much as I love them, I just don’t listen to them that much. I took Rust in Peace as the best thrash metal album out there. Metallica IMO has a much better overall discography from their pre-Black Album days, but Rust in Peace is something (I also think that Marty Friedman >>>> Kirk Hammett). Symphony X is probably my favorite more recent/current band. Great progressive metal out of Jersey with the over-the-top guitar solos of Michael Romeo.

    Great Freaking List.
Even though I would put Peace Sells over Rust .
Ever listen 2 Mastodons Crack the Skye??? It's a very Progressive concept album. Also they Have 3 singers so You never know how the songs will go. For example..On the song Oblivion all 3 will sing.....Drummer, Bass player, and Lead Guitarist.

I have a Mastodon album. The one with The Wolf is Loose. I like it a bit, but it didn’t motivate me to get any of their other stuff. Maybe I’ll play Crack the Skye on Apple Music and see if it does anything for me.

Blood Mountain. Is what You Have. I got it after Crack the Skye. At least try Oblivion off that Albums it's not the Greatest song on there , but it gives the sense of all the singers.

No crucification necessary. Those are great songs, and the first album is great even though the drumming and lyrics didn’t benefit from the Peart touch. I am a huge Rush fan. I’ve seen them live about 15 times, though I missed the final few tours.

LoL. See we are all different. That's my least favorite song by Mastodon. It's Cool. We can't all Like the same things. I think I don't like it because it's one of their simplest songs.

It is simple, which is ok sometimes. Some of my favorite song have simple riffs. I like Brents vocals alot on it, and I absolutely love the lyrics!

Im very particular when it comes to proggy stuff i like, which is why I like old mastodon more than the new stuff.

I actually used part of those lyrics in that song on a resignation letter for a title company I worked at years ago! Hahahahahahah!!!! Burnt that bridge down.

DRRRRRRRRRT!!!!! That record ruined everything else when it came out. That and Slayers Season in the Abyss were going back and fourth for years.

My favorite rap album is a toss up between the 1st Cypress Hill record and Wu Tang's 36 Chambers.
