No replay, hard to see on tv, who blew it?

This is why I like going to the games. You, miss so much on TV and you have to believe the announcers.

I'm still wondering what happened on that one, too. They gave Brees too much time, but there is no excuse for a receiver being left that wide open to convert a 3rd-and-20.

They had a guy wide open the play before, but he dropped it. Inexcusable twice in a row, same spot on the field

I really wish they would have brought pressure. The Saints O-line was really struggling late in the game trying to get everybody blocked. If you give Brees time, he is going to find someone. Our best chance was to pressure him.

The problem is that Brees tore the Steeles apart early when they brought pressure. They were at their best rushing four or five. They simply blew the coverage.

That’s true but you force him to throw quick before they get 20 yards down field.

Yes, but he did it when they brought a corner and left a LB on an island.

Yeah, it wasn't like Brees was forced to drop it into a tight area with a safety over top and a corner underneath. There wasn't anyone within five yards of Ginn. They didn't have Artie to throw under the bus on that one, either.

That's a fair point. I'd been thinking about it since I responded to your post earlier and I think you are correct.
