Maybe they'll only use him on running downs? :lolol:

You know, the Left Tackle by Committee approach.

I wonder if this dude can be turned into a guard? He is at least a veteran though and won't get overwhelmed at certain moments even if he is playing bad.

I mean all left tackles should be helped out alittle by chipping RB's and TE's. I'm not sure we have been doing that much at all this year.

Given that we only have the four plays - run up the middle, bubble screen, draw and "Ben runs around until Brown gets open" - it wouldn't be like we were telegraphing anything. Hell, I'd sub in all available O-linemen instead of receivers any time we wanted to run it.

When I first saw this, I thought you were talking about the number of sacks our defense has had the last 36 games.

I have a hard time believing there is
not a better choice out there. I would
    ask my scouting department/talent
evaluaters find me somebody this is what we are paying you for.We are
seriously dropping the ball in this department.

Tomlin doesn't have jack to do with signing players, that falls squarely on Colbert's shoulders.

Hence the Mark Madden term, "Tecmo Bowl Todd."

After reading the article posted it appears we traded a draft pick for what we already have in Adams. With that said maybe the staff decide on Brown due to:

    - Saw a flaw in his game that can be corrected
    - Needing more depth at the o-line position with NFL experience
    - To help Brown teach Adams how to block against the tackle/end stunt and the linebacker/end twist that Adams is lost on
    - We are not going to throw another pass this season and Brown's run blocking will be an asset

OK some sarcasm on the above items. I don't understand the move but can only trust the decision made by the organization will improve the team. I can't help but believe this was a move from desperation by the organization to say they tried to improve the 0-4 team during the bye week by addressing pitiful line performance so far this season .

Flozell Adams gave up nine sacks and 42 quarterback pressures his last season in Dallas and yet the Steelers signed him anyway. Maybe a change of scenery will be good for Brown.
