That team had a very good defense, a strong running game, and two studs at receiver.

 

We all talk about the playoffs upset in Houston in 1989 or 2005 in Indy but the upset in Denver in 1984 is for me the biggest for the steelers in their postseason history

 

Yet Tomlin couldn’t win a playoff game with a subpar qb

Cowher also had losing seasons with those Qbs , so not even losing a playoff game , he didn't even make one those years.

 

But did he go 9 seasons without a playoff win?

Same as McCarthy outside of 1 playoff win. He only won playoff games with Rodgers, and then got fired. Tell me again after you make the Playoffs, how does wining a playoff matter if you don't male the SB??
Do they add up, and you can cash them in for a SB?
Do you get to have a hole punched in your, I won a playoff game card, and eventually you get a free SB??
You do know that the Bills have won a playoff game every year for 6 years straight, and yet they haven't gotten a free SB yet. Yet last two SBs we won, we didn't win a playoff game the year before. Guess what the team that won the SB last year hadn't won a playoff game in 5 years. The team that played them in the SB, the Patriots ,haven't won a playoff game in 6 years . Yeah those playoff wins really help.

 

I like and agree with your post
I am not expecting a superbowl win from Tomlin or any other coach every year
Just stating it would be nice to make a run once in awhile
Win a playoff game once in a while
