I don’t think it will happen either, still think they are going defense rd 1 but I can see a case for them going 2 OL and RB in the first three picks and I’d be ok with that. Starts in the trenches or your team isn’t going to be very successful.

    1. CB
    2. O- LINE
    3. LB
    4. O-LINE
    5. D- Line
    6. RB
    7. O- Line
    Only IMO
The 1st three in that order.
    Just my thoughts.
A lot say with better O, we keep our D off the field.
I was just reminded a couple hours ago watching Dallas beat us on NFL Network. We score with 42 seconds left, 2 win the game.
Just 2 watch our D let them March for a winning TD with only 42 second.
Also how many points in the Playoff game did the D give up before they made a stop.
I know people will say well turnovers.
You can still hold them 2 field goals, at least some of those times.
How different would the out come have been??
    Just my humble opinion.

In real life I doubt that's how the Steelers will play this. I honestly believe they are targeting Aaron Robinson in the 2nd round.

I would rank the Steelers needs

    RB
    CB
    C
    OT
    Edge
    MLB

C and CB are pretty much a tie IMO

If they draft a Corner Back Rd 1 they are dumber than they look. This team has the worst running game in football. They need OL and RB in the first two picks and both guys need to start week 1.

How big of a loss do people think Layne is? I wasn’t even sure the guy would make the team this year regardless he stinks. That Pierre basically overtook him on the depth chart last year and he most likely sucks as well.

They should go C-RB-OT but they will probably draft a CB rd 3

The Steelers should go TE before CB. Haden, Sutton, Pierre, is stronger than Ebron, Gentry, Rader.

If rb is the top need you'd think the Steelers would have offered Conner a bone.

That's why RB is the top need. Conner couldn't bury the bone.

With Layne's problems the CB position just got some serious need.

I would say Layne's chances of getting a roster spot are down to 5%.

Well the only disagreement I would have there is that 3 CBS see the field in a Nickel/Dime quite often where a 3rd TE is usually a game day inactive. Trust me I think we need a TE as well but still think a 3rd corner behind Haden and Sutton is more valuable than a number 2 TE behind Ebron.

Going into last year I felt CB was one of our deepest areas with Haden Nelson Hilton Sutton Layne. Today I feel it’s one of our weakest especially factoring in Haden’s age

    TE is definitely being overlooked.

I guess I'm thinking that the Steelers will end up signing or trading for a vet before camp.

So ...I'm confused. Then why don't you agree with a CB being picked?
Maybe I'm just missing something.

I agree with most of what you say, but Ebron should be the #2 TE. We need a #1 tight end.

Since they haven’t signed one yet, my guess is they will look to get one in the draft and then if the board doesn’t break right, they will sign a vet. James is still out there.

I would love to have James back. I was thinking that he maybe doesn't want to play here. But his options seem pretty limited at this point. Beggars can't be choosers.

Ebron is like the #4 wr playing te about as well as Vince covers the slot guy. We need 2 te's.

I could see us taking a corner rd 3. I said taking a corner rd 1 would be a terrible idea based on how bad our running game is. Pick 1 and 2 need to be a combo of OL and RB in whatever order. And both guys need to start out of the gate.
