Wasn't a thread on Butler recently? They won't be spending big money on a free agent CB, Butler is coming off a bad season anyway not interested.
LeBeau left because his contract was up and they promised Butler the job, it had nothing to do with changing the base defense.
The Eagles didn't screw up like Jacksonville did against New England, they stayed aggressive and not sit on a lead.
I hope he can teach the D-line how to stop the run .
Will Dunbar bring some of those stud Alabama D-linemen with him?
It's a surprise hire that's for sure, I was expecting them to hire a NFL guy. Maybe this is what the secondary needs a older coach who can teach...
Well he will be working overtime with Burns if he is going to teach tackling :hehehe:.
Nothing, the Eagles win one SB and now the Steelers need to copy them . The Eagles defense made one play and gave up over 600 yards.
A old timer like Capers wouldn't go for that, Tomlin didn't interfere when LeBeau was DC.
I think Horton was DC when Arizona made the playoffs, their defenses were highly ranked.
Not me, the last few years Green Bay defenses have been terrible that's why they got rid of him.
Philly and NE didn't have stud RB in front of Blount like the Steelers had with Bell, screw Blount he quit on the team.
Brady takes less because his wife makes more than he does .
Well it didn't work out too well with hiring Lake and Porter .
What about former Steelers DB coach Ray Horton? He did a good job as Arizona DC also, his defenses were aggressive he could also be Butler's...
Yeah just like Arians was retired, the Steelers probably wanted Lake's exit to be classy it was time for him to get on with his life's work.
If he wants to get back in the league he has to start somewhere .
Remember during the season when I posted on here and said Lake was on the hot seat, and you totally dismissed it .
Hire Eric Mangini as his replacement, former DB coach and DC. I hope Porter is next to leave.
Yeah Mitchell and Spence :thumbs up:
