I don't care what Ben earns, he's worth every penny of it after watching that :poopy: show at QB last season with Duck/Mason. A healthy Ben with...
Going into that game I thought the Steelers DL had the advantage, I considered the Jaguars OL average, Heyward, Tuitt, and Hargrave did nothing.
Every year fans throw out these big name free agents, knowing the Steelers won't be major players in free agency .
Not bad, fills a lot of needs
They should keep at least one of those guys for the 2020 season, and draft one, you're right neither one is a long term option.
Last season is the only time I remember Nix missing a lot of games. They should find a UDFA FB and put him on the practice squad.
Moncrief had that many in half of a season with the Steelers :lolol:
The Steelers only have 6 picks, and some fans want to double dip at TE . They will keep Vannett or Vance, and they drafted Gentry last...
Once Ben said he wanted to continue playing, I expected them to re-sign him, the money that's the going rate for a future HOF QB.
They aren't going to sign any big name free agents, they will re-sign their own, and maybe 1 or 2 veterans on the cheap.
Even if Haden extension is 2 years, they shouldn't add more years on it, he's already over 30 and you never know when his play will fall off. They...
I would like to see Gilbert step up and get in the ILB rotation, he's fun to watch in preseason.
They just gave Haden a 3 year extension last year, and I don't think they want to kick that can down the road in restructuring Ben.
And I bet those other teams have a lot more cap space than the Steelers, to sign Mariota.
I doubt Hargrave signs for anything thing less than 11-12 million a year, when Tuitt comes back Hargrave only will play about 40% of the snaps,...
Probably a 4 year extension to help out with the cap, if he falls off in year 3 or 4 you cut him.
He could be there for the third round comp pick though.
If they cut Barron, Chinn could play some LB/S in their sub packages.
Keenum did his job as a game manager, he won some games and didn't kill his team, Mason was killing the team by the time he got benched. Hopefully...
[MEDIA] He's 6'3 221lbs with a 41 vertical, and he ran a 4.45 forty at the combine. The Steelers don't have good depth behind Minkah and Edmunds.
