There's a difference in playing the slot with two stud WRs on your team, and a franchise QB in Burrow that Boyd played with, Diontae played with...
I know that if Boyd wanted to sign for cheap, then it might be a good move.
If the plan was to sign Russell Wilson and make some noise in the playoffs, then trading Diontae doesn't make much sense, they didn't get back...

I keep hearing the Bears will take Odunze at #9.
He did nothing with the Ravens, let some other team overpay for him.
No, Boyd isn't even that good anymore, he's a #3 WR and a slot guy not outside WR.
Sorry for your loss.
You obviously haven't watched Odunze play, he's a top 10 talent in this draft, contested catches are just a part of his game.
They always show up for Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State lots of prospects to check out.
My point is I don't think the cap ever went up by thirty million when Colbert was the GM, that allows you to make bigger moves in free agency.
So was Cowher
What about JC Latham at #20?
I wouldn't draft a CB in the first round that's dealing with an injury, I would take Quinyon Mitchell at #20.
I was pimping Odunze to the Steelers early on in the draft forum, he's probably the best contested catch WR in the draft.
With Diontae going into the last year of his deal I'm sure the Steelers were getting tired of his crap, not even trying to recover a fumble...
Maybe they don't consider him a first round player, they could have interest in him the second round if he drops, Pat Meyer was there for a reason.
I told you guys a splash move was coming this offseason :hehehe:
I know that but Tomlin already met with JPJ at the senior bowl, it's probably an indication they aren't going to draft a center in the first round.
Queen is the highest paid outside free agent they have ever signed, his APY is over 13 million a year.
