I believe the argument is that he was in the act of going to ground during the catch. Which is a **** argument.
Taunting is a pretty crap penalty anyway. I don’t think I’ve ever seen consistent calling on it.

I agree with the OP. It was absolutely gutting to lose last night, but when the mist has cleared there definitely some things to take heart from.
