I think some of it had to with the coaching staff trusting the other guys in the secondary in order to let Minkah be Minkah.
Seifert made it to the NFCCG as the Carolina HC, he was a much better HC than Switzer who flamed out quickly.
Once again he didn't want to come to Pittsburgh, he wanted to go to Baltimore to play with Lamar.
He will probably need a good year to stick on the roster in 2026, I think his cap hit is going to be pretty big by then.
Purdy and Brady are the two that come to mind.

Thye have no reason to because they don't want him to play this season, he would have to really outplay Mason in the preseason for that to happen.

Don't get your hopes up even if Howard shows something they should still draft a QB in the first round next year.
I know some fans are excited to see him play and think he could be the future at QB, like the local media has been saying he was a sixth-round...

Howard is going to be QB3 and be inactive, he can only play as the emergency QB..
Fans can complain about the lack of playoff wins but before Tomlin contract expires, he will pass Noll in wins by next year most likely.
