I don't understand the Edge rusher with the first pick Mocks?

We have 2 starting Edge Rushers in Watt and Highsmith.

We saw what happens when both are healthy; Ingram gets to play 8 downs in one game and immediately demands to be traded.

We have so many starting positions that need 1st round attention, why spend it on a backup edge rusher? I understand a need for a NT or another bruiser at DT, but the last thing this teams need is another speedy edge guy that can't stop the run.

All 4 starting LBs are signed for next year.

Personally, I hope we go CB in the first.

Neither does Bucky? Really doesn't follow the Steelers too much,
now maybe later on in the draft for depth but much later on.

I agree. We shouldn’t be prioritizing the edge in the early rounds. Now, if a guy lands in our laps that we’d expect to be an All Pro, you’ve gotta take him if you have him rated much higher than anyone else remaining in the draft board. But it shouldn’t be the goal.

The most optimal solution is finding another Ingram who will actually stay this time.
