I wish for a winning lottery ticket when I buy one even though I know it won't happen. It doesn't hurt to hope. JMO>

I don't think he will. Art would have to have a clue n the stones to do it
    He lacks both

He should've been gone after Jags loss in playoffs IMO n most likely Dan's if he was still around then

Dan stuck with Cowher through thick and thin, and would no doubt have stuck with Tomlin. He taught his son to run it this way. No idea where you're getting that notion from.

This defense needs to fix more then just the big runs, teams could throw all day in the middle against our MLB and even against our whole secondary.

Ravens just fired their DC, so Steelers better get someone quick.
Unless it’s a in House move.

The step back wouldn't have been nearly as pronounced if they had Tuitt and Alualu.

They should at least bring in Martindale for an interview. He had some good defenses in Baltimore before this past season.

I wonder if that means Ryan is available as a LB coach. The Ravens had some solid play there with relatively new guys. I'd think Rob Ryan would be more aggressive than Jerry O.

Sadly I think you are right because the past tells us that. But some guys like Ryan or Munchak are just very good at what they do and I'd like to see the Steelers at least look at them.

Wow, he is a good DC, definitely the scape goat for the injuries and poor FA choices.

If the Cowboy DC leaves, Jerry needs to call him.

But I wouldn’t be mad if he came to Pittsburgh for lunch and a visit.

He got fired because the Ravens finished last against the pass, I don't see the Steelers having any interest in him.

Ravens have no edge rushers ... since Suggs left they have been filling those spots with different over-the-hill FA's.

And their top CB Marlon Humphrey went on IR, he might be their best defensive player overall. They lost Marcus Peters to injury early too. That is both starting CBs??? Can you imagine? They still have old man Jimmy Smith on their roster for some reason?

Their Safties and LB's (aside from Queen) are pretty average. Maybe they are hoping for more development in that area???

I don't think the Steelers should go after him as DC. Maybe as a position coach possibly? I'm just saying their personnel decisions have been sort of spotty, and they had some key injuries just like us.

That's a subjective stat. They were number 1 against the rush, hence teams passed on them more. Sometimes I don't fully believe the stats tell the whole story. Steelers pass defense realistically is the worst. We've all seen it.

    Per shefter.
Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler announced his retirement on Saturday evening in a statement released by the team.
"It is an emotional day as I announce I am retiring from my football coaching career," said Butler. "I have spent every year since 1990 as a coach in the NFL and the NCAA, but the time is right for me to walk away after a successful career both playing and coaching the game I love. I want to thank the Rooney Family, Bill Cowher, Mike Tomlin and all the coaches and players that I have been involved with over my entire coaching career. I look forward to spending more time with my family, whom have been so supportive of me throughout the years. I wish nothing but the best to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I will be cheering them on during my retirement."

Or he just retired after a 31 year career.

I hope he has a great retirement. 2 Super Bowl wins and being apart of great games and plays. Thank you Keith Butler!

Teams didn't need to run the ball against them, because their pass defense was so bad.

How can Tomlin be traded if the NFL banned head coach trades since Gruden got traded to the Buccaneers?
