How much better is this defense without Bush or Schobert?

Wow. Just night and day. Better penetration. Flying to the ball. ILB coverage hasn't been great but pass rush awesome and even run defense improved.

Mickey Spillane is horrible in pass coverage, but against the run, he’s decent. If you can hide him during pass plays, he’s a better option than Bush or the former Bungle.

Don't go to crazy. Cleveland's coach has more to do with this than Pittsburgh replacement players.

Still Boggles my mind as to why they had Chubb spending so much time on the sideline watching tonight?

    Needed Shobert rotating with Spillane.

Yeah, both offenses, except for Najee, were just painful to watch. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I will say, though, Bush's COVID must be really bad. He was put on the COVID list nearly two weeks ago. I hope he's OK. Either that or just some unfortunate timing, like the pitcher who gets shellacked than ends up on the DL the next day with "arm soreness".

We got lucky that Baker couldn't throw all game and Hooper couldn't catch all game.

Spillane couldn't cover a bed with sheets.

or if they had figured out earlier that the middle of the the zone is where the Steelers were weakest they could have picked the defense apart.

Get back to me after Baltimore. Unlike Cleveland, they stay the course of their game plan. That will be a better litmus test.
