    See my post above.

I would argue that the trading of five draft choices for two defensive players demonstrably shows they weren't trying to find Ben's successor. Either that or they really, really had a lot of faith in Rudolph.

Didn't you also suggest trading for Sam Darnold?

If that's addressed to me, no. Not even close.

I'm all for drafting someone with the full knowledge that it may be a bust. Also in favor of using a first rounder. The success rate for first rounders at QB has over the last 30 years been about 30%, which sounds crappy, but it only gets worse later. By the third round it's like 8%. It's rare that a team's franchise QB was drafted by another team. Guess Favre and Brees would be the best examples.

Thar was part of my point. I'm not against getting aggressive, the OP expressly stated the last 3 years. The last 3 years were basically what you listed. Besides Herbert a couple of years ago, the only QBs in reach this year would have been Fields and Jones. Again not against being aggressive. But the reality of the cost and what we could offer often negates it.

Why on earth would Steelers sign Rodgers? Why on earth would Rodgers come to a team with a line so horrible? I don't see it.

They go with Rudolph and bring in someone cheap to compete. They spend on line.

So again what would you have done? I'm even allowing you the luxury of himdsight... what is the magic move that would have made you feel better? Jordan Love? Jalen Hurts? You obviously not impressed with Mason or Haskins... what was your plan?

Honestly I didn't have one. I was just commenting on your last comment. I always dream of drafting D in the 1st. I personally wouldn't take a Qb this Year. Build the team, and Draft a Qb the following Year.

I think they know Mason is not the future, but they have him while they look. IMO

Can’t wait to get a mobile QB so we can really unleash this potent Matt Canada Offense.

I wouldn’t go Patting myself on the back. Do you really think that the results would be any different with Brissett at QB for the Steelers?

I am now convinced…Brissett > Trubisky. But who knows if the results would have been different.

Other than Brisket would have been on the Steelers for the game.

6 will never elude them. He’s easily identifiable right now because his arm is in a sling from that stretch to pat his own back.

Brissett has the luxury of a potent running attack and a much better offensive line. Had the Steelers heads on a swivel. And were pounding our D line into the ground. And a solid offensive coordinator not a "gimmick junkie college play caller "

Maybe Pickett would give them some spark but...This defense is a sieve. With or without TJ Watt. But hey folks good news! Canadas system is going to work any week now, any week...

You can Bump this....As You can see in this ....I laughed at Trubisky as Qb, and at Canada's offense in this post.
