I know the coordinators get the brunt of the criticism, along with Tomlin, but what exactly do the position coaches do? O-line a mess, no one can tackle, poor angles, bad ball control, and all around poor fundamentals. Isn't that what position coaches should be emphasizing all week?

I have always viewed Tomlin as akin to a CEO, allowing his division heads and managers to run the day-to-day operations. The managers and division heads need to be fired for poor performance of their employees, and the board of directors needs to hold the CEO accountable.

MT will not be held accountable. He’s not a coach, he’s a figure head. If he’s untouchable, the next line of accountability are the coordinators and position coaches. KC needs to be fired if he’s in charge of player personnel, because clearly the draft strategy has failed and the position coaches have not developed the players.

Right? I mean these are professional athletes so why does our OL look like they have no idea what they are doing even this far into the season? I can see it in the beginning but why aren't they any better now???

Idk Dusty, I've always been a huge Colbert fan..Ben, Heyward, Watt, Shazier, Pouncey, DD...and everyone in between...Sure he's had his misses but...

Now it seems more Coaching...Green, Moore, Bush, Claypool,Loudermilk, ALL the DB's sans Haden...Even guys who have left Conner ( looks great )

IMO....You miss on Coaches, just like you do on Players and Canada, Glemm, Butler, and Tomlin are really bad Coaches!

The significant lack of talent at several positions certainly limits what coaches can wring out of them. Matt Canada's playcalling is almost completely void of imagination. As DK asked at the press conference, why is Ray Ray getting targeted like a primary receiver? Certainly defenses aren't devoting 4 guys to double teaming Claypool and Dionte on every play. Even if that were the case, why not just target a tight end or Najee instead? Ray Ray has no business being anything more than a situational option like a Cody White.

KC has been going on a year to year contract basis. I guarantee Rooney will bring him back next year but he absolutely shouldn't. He should retire now.

It looks to me like Canada has a scheme, and he doesn't care if he has the skill players to pull it off. A good coordinator looks at the players' skills he has and designs a scheme to best fit those players. All the behind the LOS movement and alleged "deception" doesn't fit who he has to work with. But he has some skills to work with - they are just poorly coached for their positions (why can't WRs get open? why can't O-line block?) and the play as called is often a disaster.

You might wanna check your auto correct. Glemm isn’t a coach. At least not yet.

They don't practice tackling anymore. It is in the CBA.

It is up to Colbert to find the guys who excel at it and have the want to.
