I will acknowledge your lack of knowledge in this respect. The Steelers have a waiting list going back to May of 1995. The games will be sold out for the next decades.

But I understand your thought process, as best you could present it.

 

The games could be sellouts, but the lack of concession sales is an issue.

 

So we have to keep smelling the stink? I guess that's what Tomlin means by wallowing in it.

 

I go to the games, people are still showing up. But there are definitely no shows.

 

I promise you that whenever Tomlin is replaced the replacement will be someone you never heard of.

I was listening to 93.7 the Fan today and someone commented we should have gotten rid of Tomlin and kept Arians as the Head Coach. Arians "allegedly" retired from the Steelers. Then he became the OC in Indie, to be the interim head coach. He then retired, then he went to Arizona for a few seasons and retired. Now he is in Tampa and I'm sure will be retired in 2 years or less. He would not have been a long-term solution. Not something the Rooney's would be interested in. As much as I've enjoyed Tomlin, I do believe we may be due for a change. However, I don't want us to become that coaching carousel as other teams have had. Consistency is a big key to success.

 

And you can insert your reply up back where it came from.....side ways. That will be a present for yourself, I'm sure.

 

You do understand that the Steelers are the farthest thing from a coaching carousel and it would take decades for them to achieve that status even if they moved on from Tomlin?

Firing Tomlin would be pointless unless the organisation as a whole strives for excellence at every level. All the coordinator and position coaching hires in recent years have been nothing short of a joke and the Steelers have the smallest coaching staff in the league. I am baffled as to how the Rooneys cannot see that this is part of the problem.

Getting a new figurehead will appease the anti Tomlin crowd for a while no doubt, but if they continue to staff the rest of the coaching team with guys like Fictner and Klemm results will not change IMO
