Ben should walk in the first offense meeting and throw a clipboard at a wall as hard as he can and scream at Claypool for 5 minutes he cost them about 2 to 3 extra plays being stupid. They need to change the culture in that Locker room immediately.

Steelers will end up 8-8-1. Tomlin will preserve his "no losing seasons" record.

Too little, too late. Locker room culture declined when players like Ward, Miller, Farrior, Kiesel, Hampton, Smith, Polamalu, Clark, etc... retired.

I agree the Steelers need to rebuild....they need a mix of new veterans and solid draft picks. The team has to be constructed differently next year. They should have already positioned themselves to enter the post Big Ben era. Now unless they are very successful in adding talent and drafting wisely this off-season, they likely are looking at a couple more seasons of mediocrity.

The expectation was that other guys would step into that role. Ben was one of those other guys and he never stepped up to lead

You're just dead wrong. The professional on the other side of the ball made a great play.

Other things of note/interest last night:

    1. Tomlin's post game presser sucked. I am not a "fire Tomlin" guy....yet. But to stand up there and bust on both lines like he did is just crap.

    2. Only the female reporter had the guts and insight to ask Tomlin about coaching responsibility. His answer sucked. SUCKED. If he doesn't take accountability and hold his subordinate coaches accountable...this won't improve. WE GOT OUT-SCHEMED! THIS IS A PATTERN. The lack of discipline is also on him.

    3. The head coach can't shake his head and say "Wow man," on the sidelines as Cook scores again in the first half. But he did.

    4. Terry Bradshaw even called out Canada's assnine love affair with those dayum WS screens. PLEASE STOP. Please stop running on 2nd and long 90% of the time. Please stop throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage on 3rd and long. Please stop designing plays where receivers are running backward. Please stop trying to do "catch and runs" on 3rd or 4th down and long, 2 point conversions, and redzone plays. My word, dude. STOP.

    5. Troy Aikman hates the Steelers and even he couldn't take delight in how bad they sucked that first half.

    6. Claypool...well, everyone already knows...

The LB's suck, they can't get off of blocks, they also aren't getting any help from the DL.

Don’t paint me with a broad brush. I defend Romo and Collingsworth all the time. I didn’t say “these announcers” I said Aikman. Take a step down bro.

Give it another day and people will be claiming that Claypool wasted a full minute.

No, he did not cost them two or three extra plays. He probably cost them five seconds. Maybe. The rest of the time was because one of the Vikings slapped the ball away and the idiot officials didn't catch it.

Smith made a great play to jar the ball loose.

Washington's role should be to draw guys off and occasionally catch a pass. They should keep him as a outside guy along with Claypool and get DJ open from the slot on slants and crossing routes with him occasionally swapping with Claypool to keep defenses guessing. The goal at this point should be to scheme to get the right guy open. This of course is limited by Ben because if he doesn't do it all the planning in the world won't do Jack

Apparently he pretty much told the reporters it wasn't his job its Tomlin's. So he can spout off about not quitting because it's not the Steeler way after he sucks balls in a game, he can tell Washington he needs to keep his feet and run under Ben's off target pass. He can have his ping pong table and Ben's day but no music in the locker room but it's not his job to get after guys for being dumbasses after a catch or interception even though he is a team Captain.

I'm not sure his thinking is correct at this point.

This is exactly what I saw. Claypool was an idiot, and I won't defend him. But it wasn't as terrible as it is being made out.

well, that seems to be one adjustment he’s made. If he calls people out, he’s throwing em under bettis. If he passes it over to the coaches he’s not a leader... struggle must be real hahahaha
