Rapid reaction to Ravens win

- TJ Watt is the best defensive player in football, period

- Don't like the pick still, but Najee is one tough MF'er

- Team rallied on D, like I hoped (but doubted) they would

- Offense still not good, but made enough plays in the 2nd half

- Total ego call by Harbaugh on the 2-pt'er. You don't do that unless you're severely overmatched. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go on a losing streak.

- Refs totally F'd the Steelers all game

 

Agree on the hairball decision to go for 2. What a stupid MFer.

 

ravens have been lucky all year, rolled the dice again.

 

How did we win? That was nuts. Leave the guy you know they're going to wide open? Thank God Lamar sucks! I am so happy right now!!!

 

Offense was vanilla and predictable in first half, but in the second they played well enough to not earn the not good tag.

 

Agree with everything except the 2-point try. It was a guts call on the road in your most heated rivals house. They had momentum. Loved the call. Glad it didn’t work.

 

Very odd 2pt call. With the best kicker in the game and dominating TOP? Bad call.

Strangely that was our best defensive game of the year.

Tomlin’s decision for the ravens to go for two was brilliant.

 

Props to some of the practice squad players that started tonight. They were better then the starters.

 

While I'm not going to disagree with you about hairball being a stupid MFer, we did it a few years ago against I believe San Diego. And made it.

 

OG Leglue made a difference. Who knew? I'm guessing he was a big enough body to stop the push up the middle that was overwhelming Kendrick Green, allowing ben to throw.

if we had lost, some writers would be blaming TJ Watt for the taunting penalty that allowed balt to drive to a TD.

what happened to Boswell this game? missed Xpt and kickoff out of bounds?

Muth had a good game but we needed OL and DLmen also. so the debate continues..should we have taken a lineman with the Muth pick? or happy with Muth pick?

Is Washington worth anything? should we have traded him at the beginning of the season?

Yes he is because he and his brother suck. However, his decision was very close to being a non-hairball one.

 

Our much maligned OLine put their big boy pants on and man handled the rats on our last drive. Hopefully this will be a turning point for the line for the rest of the year.

 

This game told me we weren't that good, but good enough to compete for our division. Some teams just match up wrong and we get taken to the cleaners, but not the Rats. Bungles and Bolts blew us out and we had no answers. Why this is different with the Rats befuddles me.

I liked the call to go for two by Harbaugh. He rolled the dice and it just didn’t work out. You play to win the game and that’s what Harbaugh did there.

 

few things better than a win over the Ravens, especially after Baltimore

a) dominated for 3 quarters
b) folded in the 4th quarter
c) made an asinine, recklessly foolish call to try and win it
d) failed on the play because of a lousy pass by their hugely overrated Qb
e) will now get ripped by their fans and the media for at least the whole next week

Even though the Steelers won, it felt like a tie.

 

Yes I was a bit wtf at the time but then after the game it was said that the Rats were completely out of cb's due to injuries and wanted to just end the game.

 

If he was playing to win he would have gone for the extra point because the better team easily wins it in OT .

 

He should have called their best running play though.

 

Above everything else, it feels like they [finally] showed up pissed off and ready to play today. Maybe some of the 'soft' talk and poor play finally got addressed.
