Feeling out your thoughts on being spoiled (Pat McAfee)

Ran into this.

I know the topic is decisive here but was curious if you felt Pat is way off or has a point.

It's not a secret Pittsburgh sports fans are spoiled, so he's not saying anything earth shattering there. I'd take his statement seriously if he actually defended Mike Tomlin with some thoughtful dialogue, but that isn't McAfee's schtick. He says outrageous (not necessarily this) things that no one asks him to defend because he isn't taken seriously by most people. He's an ex-jock entertainer, not a sports journalist.

Mark Madden has been pretty hard on Tomlin for quite a while now, and he and McAfee are friends. It would be interesting for Madden to have him on the show. Although, I suspect it would be a disappointment because Madden, for all of his blather and hot air, is somewhat of a star effer and would likely backpedal on his Tomlin criticism.

 

I take it that Pat hasn't watched this team much.

 

Who is Pat McAfee? And why do yall care what he thinks

 

Posted before and I’m sure most have seen it.....

 

He was a punter by trade and a Pittsburgh native that played professionally for the Colts. He's a quirky guy that always has marched to the beat of his own drummer. He has a radio show on Sirius that's popular. His act is more humor than serious sports discussion.

 

He's a Steeler fan who's had Tomlin on the show. I wouldn't read too much into it.
